Summary: The best headphones~!
Review: After purchasing a pair of the HD-212, I was happy to find that they completely exceeded my expectations. The bass they deliver enhances and enriches everything I listen to - songs that sounded tinny, watery and piercing on other pairs, including the Sennheiser HD-497 (which are in the same price range), are *drastically* improved with the HD-212.

As to comfort, I have no complaints. I wear them continuously for hours on end and they don't chafe, pinch or squish my ears. They are big, but their weight is never a distraction.

All in all, I have nothing negative to say about these headphones. In comparison to all the other pairs I have used in the past, I can happily say they are the best headphones I've ever used or owned.

Oh, and they also looked pretty cool in the box! :D

Summary: Simply wonderful.
Review: As someone who likes cheap things, I was hesitant to spend more than $15 on a pair of headphones. How foolish of me.

Short and to the point: these headphones rock. I never thought I would hear headphones that actually had some bass to them, but these have satisfied my need for low-end and then some.

Highly recommended.

Summary: Realistic sound, great musical range
Review: Balanced, musical sound. Using it with my Yamaha digital piano (P80) and the sound of the Yamaha grand piano is extremely realistic through the headphones. Can really hear the bass of the pipe organ sounds as well. Clean sound throughout the range. Good value.

Summary: SENNHEISER HD 212 PRO
Review: Briefing: Most high end headphones operate above 32 Ohms, meaning those headphones that require more than 32 Ohms will require an amplifier. The amplifier of course will set you back at least another one hundred dollars. With that said the HD 212 PRO requires 32 Ohms, meaning you won't have to purchase an amplifier if you don't already own one.

Performance: If you do buy these headphones make sure you give them a good burn in session before you evaluate them. I noticed the headphones sounded better after playing a variety of music for about 10 hours.

Sound: The sound is definitely bass heavy; however the sound produced does not sound muddy, rather the sound produced is crisp and clear.

Portability: The headphones are not all that portable, since they don't fold.

Comfort: The headphones are comfortable, but not so comfortable to be worn hours on end. Note that if you plan on wearing glasses while wearing these or any headphones with ear cups, they may or may not cause some discomfort.

Roundup: The HD 212 PRO is very nice, producing excellent sound quality for headphones under sixty dollars, all without the use of an amplifier. Lastly the bass heavy sound makes it ideal for more upbeat modern music, such as pop, rock or trance.

Note: The information provided is my opinion, based on my own personal knowledge and experience. Therefore I can not guarantee that you will have the same opinion of this product.

Summary: Great Sound, Bad Fit.
Review: Excellent sound for the price. Maybe I have big ears, but I don't think so, these don't fit over the ears they fit on the ears, gets very uncomfortable after a while. I have to regularly take breaks when listening with them.

Summary: Awesome phones for the price
Review: Great sound - clear treble and deep bass - stylish and very comfortable.

I listen to a lot of dance music & these are great - even on planes.

I would think twice only if you have large ears - these cups are a little small. Otherwise these are comfy and soft and stylish and a great deal so get them!

Summary: Great headphones with DJ bass emphasis
Review: I am on a quest to find the ideal portable headphones, and the Sennheiser HD 212 is a great contender in this category. On the other hand, I did not keep them. I purchased two different Sennheiser models over the past month, and both were excellent. If you listen to lots of drum heavy music or just like lots of bass, then these are probably the headphones for you. If you like more balance in your music listening, then the HD 497 is probably a better choice.

Now, to the main reason I did not keep either pair. Although I knew neither pair folded or had a convenient storage unit. I was not prepared for the size of either set of headphones. Neither is what I would call portable. I travel frequently, and the jet engine noise ruins my entertainment experience as I am sure most people would agree. The closed design appeals to me, but there is no way to fit these phones in my carry-on bag. If you are planning to use these at home or at your workplace, they are a great buy. If you plan to take them with you all the time, I would suggest looking elsewhere as I am.

I do recommend these based on sound quality, but not on portability.

Summary: Amazing
Review: I am simply amazed at how good these sound.. Especially the Bass.. I am listening to some music used in speaker competitions that go down to 14hz and its reproducing it perfeclty.. I have a set of Klipsch Promedia 4.1's on my main system, with them turned off and using these headphones, i was convinced the bass was coming from my sub it sounded so good. A must buy if youre looking for some sweet headphones

Summary: Comfortable and clear
Review: I bought these for my grandfather who has lost most of his sight and some of his hearing. As a result he listens to the radio for several hours each day. He had been using some cheap headphones, when I bought him these. The difference was dramatic. He tells me that the new headphones are very comfortable and that he is better able to hear the dynamics in the music and radio that he listens to.

I can also tell you that I am very familiar with turntable and DJ work. These Headphone would be very good (although there are better dj headphones on the market) becuase they are so lightweight, the cord is very long and the sound is very accurate. I recomend this product very highly.
