Summary: Excellent value
Review: I was looking into buying either these or the sony street headphones. I noticed that these have a larger freq. response and greater sensitivity when looking at the specs. They were also cheaper than the sony's so I thought I'd give them a shot. I think they are WELL worth the price. The sound is awesome and I do not find them uncomfortable at all. They also look really cool. I would recommend these to anyone.

Summary: Dont waste your money
Review: I wouldnt waste your money on these headphones if you are a serious user, i use mine daily, i have never owned a pair of headphones that i could wear out in 4 months. The saulders broke on the connecting wire and when you played with the wire they would scratch. They have awesome sound though, while they last. and the little string that "keeps the cord from pulling out" breaks and the other ends rattles, my advice stick to sony they have never failed me.

Summary: Great Sound
Review: I've been looking for a good headset for working out and have been disappointed until I bought these.

I bought and returned 5 other headsets at various stores (5 of which were more expensive) and finally lucked out and found these at Target. They have excellent sound (especially the bass response), are fairly comfortable (little discomfort over the ear after about 1.5 hours of continuous wear), and they are great for running (light weight and secure fit).

I actually run the cord (5ft long) behind my back to my MP3 player so it's out of the way (if you try this with ear buds they usually pull too much and loosen in your ear or fall out). Also found they work great and stay out of the way when behind the back when I'm mountain biking.

If you plan to use these while sitting back in a high back chair where your head touches the seat (i.e., airplane, car, etc.) you'll have to minipulate the band behind your neck up or down to keep the speakers comfortably on your ears. Sooo, don't get these if you do a lot of traveling and want to listen to music), ear buds or over the head models are a better choice for this.

Can't give it a full 5 stars only because of the long-term wear issue mentioned above.

Overall, definately worth the money. Like I said, they were much better than many more expensive models.

Summary: Great Work Out Head Phones
Review: I've got these to replace the ones I got with my MP3 player (I don't like the ones you stick in your ear) and these have been awsome. They stay on your ears, have good volume, and after 6 months have been very durable. I'm now buying a pair for a friend.

Summary: Private listening?
Review: If you want to share what you are listening to with all of the people around you, these should do the trick. They have incorporated the brilliant idea of channelling the sound to the outside environment as well as into your ears. Now you no longer have to buy two sets of headphones when you and your loved one want to listen to music together. Or when a stranger approaches you on the street and wants to know what you're listening to, you no longer need to pass the headphones over! The music is everywhere!

Enjoy the great sound and hope that your neighbors have musical tastes that are compatible with yours.

As a small negative side note, the band is not adjustable and these things might move around uncomfortably when you move your neck up and down.

Summary: Well worth the price
Review: In Singapore headphones can be very expensive, some costing in excess of S$300. The HS500s are fairly good for their price range.

-Audio quality was tight and loud. I may not be an audiophile, but I do insist that my music sound as clean as possible. Sound doesn't leak so much.
-Comfortable for a few hours, after which your ears start to hurt under the pressure. If you really into comfort, get the Sony MDRs.
-Stylish and cool to show off to all your friends.

If you're on a budget these are the headphones to get. If you're on a higher standard try something else.
