Summary: great head phones
Review: for a few years now I've been searching for a good pair of LOUD headphones. I tried and trashed, and then I finally found this pair. Not only are the extremely cheap for their quality, they are the best head phones I've ever used. I also notcied that they are tons more comfortable that most other behind the ear head phones. And not only is it loud, it has extremely good sound quality.

Summary: Great sound for the money and they stay on your head...
Review: For the money, the sound quality is great. They also stay on your head during activity -- I wear mine while running for up to an hour without the need to make any adjustment.

Not everyone may like the over-ear style, but I don't find it uncomfortable. The sound level for those nearby is fairly low, but can be noticeable depending on volume.

For me, earbuds always fell out and over-head models slipped off during activity. I have been quite happy with these.

Summary: Superior Sound Compared To Others
Review: I bougbt these headphones back a couple of years ago. Ever since I've had them, I keep buying them when I need a new pair. I have had the Sony Behind the Neck Headphones and the new ones that look more stylish sound terrible, have weird shaped speakers and the neckbands aren't bendable. Very cheap stuff. I swear to god...I have had so many problems with Sony...they are seriously declining. I would not recommend Sony to any other person anymore.

These headphones are great because they have the pull relief which is an elastic band stretchy thingy where the wire comes out of the headphones. So if you pull the wire, it wont have any stress on it and possibly break because you have the elastic band thingy protecting it.

The HS-500 headphones come with a long enough cord for me and a gold plated plug, along with bass vent holes and great comfort. They dont have those plastic things the old Sony headphones had that hurt your ears. When I put them on, after 10 minutes, I dont even know they're there.

The power output is great and the bass is superb! Treble and balance is all perfect. 5 out of 5 on all that. If I could, I would rate this product my "Product of Choice". It has no flaws and is that good that I would buy these headphones over and over again until they would stop making them, which I hope they never do!

Gooo Job Philips for tackling the competition!

Summary: Best Headphones Made!
Review: I bought these for my son for Christmas and he says that they are the best made! He and I both love the way they fit around the back of your head instead of on top. The chord only goes to one side so you don't have the chord hitting you in the chin like most headphones. This is the best style you'll ever get and you'll never go back to the old ones.

Summary: The best headphones I ever got!
Review: I bought these headphones to use with my Panasonic (SL-SX290) portable cd player and these headphones are a million times better than the ones the came with! First of all, these headphones have a really cool look to them. It is light blue around the ear pieces and the rest of the headphones are black. Next, the sound on these headphones is unbelieveable! The bass is real deep without any distortion, the treble is super clear and not to high, and the mids are also very good. The headphones that came with my cd player were not so good. They had a (poor) fit (they were way to big for even my head, lol) and the sound was just average, and when I bought these, I felt like I was in heaven. Anyway, the design is also really cool on these headphones. They go behind your neck (I like them because they don't mess up your hair!) They are also very comfortable (a lot more comfortable than Sony's Behind the neck ones with the stupid flap) I could wear these headphones for hours without any discomfort. These also have one wire instead of two to reduce the wires from getting all tangled up. They even put in a feature called Pull Relief. That works good so when something pulls on the headphones, the wire dosen't get ripped out. Anyway, I all I am very happy with these headphones and would reccomend them to anyone

Summary: Good, cheap, work well with PowerBook and iPod
Review: I could never get used to the earbuds that came with my iPod, so I picked up these headphones at Target. It's my first set of behind-the-neck phones, but I got used to them without too much trouble.

They sound good both playing MP3s from my iPod and PowerBook. There were similarly-priced headphones on the rack from Sony, but these advertised better low and high frequency response. I also like the elastic restraint connecting the cord to the left earpiece, which would appear to prevent tension where the cord meets the earpiece. Time will tell if that helps with the inevitable abuse these things take, and whether that area of the cord will pull loose or fray.

Also notable is that the cord only connects to one earpiece -- the left -- so you don't have two wires stringing down from your ears in front of you. That should prevent snags as well. Since I usually wear my iPod on my left hip, this works out really well.

All in all a solid set of consumer headphones. I wouldn't use them when recording (I'm a musician), but for bopping around town they fit the bill.

Summary: Best mini earphones around for the money.
Review: I just got a pair of these for Sixteen dollars delivered from an amazon.com vendor partner. I can't say enough about how good they are - especially for the low price! Great bass and mids, adequate highs, VERY confortable and they stay in place. What more can be said?

Summary: Ground sound with one minor gripe about "leaking" sound.
Review: I love the fit and I love the sound of these headphones. The one gripe I have is that a significant amount of sound leaks out to the surrounding area, meaning that if you are using these in a work or study environment then the people around you are going to be able to hear/identify the music.

Summary: Waste of money...Terrible sound
Review: I purchased these headphones because of the acoustic reflector feature that is supposed to offer superb bass. All I could hear was distortion. I didn't even notice any difference in the amount of bass. I now have a pair of Sony over-the-ear headphones and the bass is way better and there is no distortion.

Summary: depends on what you're using it for
Review: I use these at work every day for at least 6 hours a day. My job calls for it. They're good depending on what your situation is. If you don't like flat hair, then it's good. If you don't want to pay too much it's good. It's decent for music usage. But for my use, it's primarily for voice and some music. It's great for the price! They're very efficient meaning you don't have to turn up the volume real high to hear. If it's for kids, then it's probably perfect because it's not too expensive and it's durable. I'd recommend them for all cases except for those picky about their music quality. After all, you get what you pay for!
