The screen itself is a mere quarter of an inch wide, and RCA's Bi-Sonic speakers flank the widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) display for spacious sound with wide stereo separation. The set's 170-degree viewing angles ensure amazing picture quality from virtually any location, so the whole family can savor the set's rich images. The LCDX3022W's CinemaScreen high-gloss black chassis lets the set disappear into the darkness of your living room, leaving only the brilliant (500 cd/m2), high-contrast (500:1) screen for theaterlike nighttime movie viewing. With a native resolution of 1,280 x 768, the set is equipped to display both standard- and high-definition signals (480p, 720p, and 1080i). It uses built-in image scaling to fit 1080i signals to its progressively scanned 768 horizontal lines.
