Rating: Summary: Black Saturation Review: I have owned this set for a week now and no matter what I do to all the color settings (And there are tons of them) I can't get rid of all the Black Saturation. I'm even on Component cables.
You can get the picture nice and bright especially in HD, but there is always a ton of VERY DARK BLACK that you just can't adjust out. Other than that the set seems to be fine. Sound is great, and it has lots of settings to correct any picture quality problems you might have like noise or grainyness.
Like I said before Black Saturation is a real problem.
Rating: Summary: Best bang for the buck Review: Maybe I'm just an anologue guy trapped in a digital world, but this "old tech" CRT TV from Sony looks better to me in side by side comparison than DLP from Mitsubishi, LCD from Sharp, and plasma from Panasonic. And it costs about half as much as any of them. And it sounds great. Finally, a large TV that uses all that space under the screen for real speakers. Infact, I'm using them for the center speaker in my 6.1 surround, and they work just fine in that capacity. The HDMI interface is more icing on the cake, as is the memory stick input, and taken all together, this baby is the best bang for the buck I know of in 57".
