Rating: Summary: Fantastic image Review: After doing my homework I decided that the features (HDTV ready, progressive scan) were value priced. What I didn't expect was how beautiful the image is with the Reality Engine at work. No raster lines and super sharp with some of the best color I have ever seen on a monitor. So good in fact that one can easily see the signal quality difference between channels. You will not believe how good widescreen DVDs look on this set. Excellent.
Rating: Summary: Great TV with good looking style Review: Before I decided to buy this TV, I did some research on TVs for couple months.
At first, I didn't want to buy Sony as I heard that it's easy to break and fall apart despite its good looking style. So, I was thinking of getting a Samsung.
But, one day I came to a CircuitCity store and happened to see the tv's image quality between Samsung and Sony side by side. Though their quality over digital cable is about the same, Sony offers way much better sharpness in HiDef.
TV's sound is acceptable but the price is good considering it's a Sony. It has a lot of features, yet no PNP. Also, Sony sells the nice TV stand designed specially for this model. The downside is that it is big, heavy, and takes up space.
I have got it for about a month now and I'm really satisfied with it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent HD Ready Television Review: Fantastic value for the quality and convenience of HD! Both my wife and I are not quite ready for a $4000 LCD television with a total surround sound system yet, so we decided upon this 32" gem. We are quite impressed with all the additional features this set has such as 4:3 pulldown, two HD inputs (for my XBOX and DVD player), and dual 10watt speakers that stimulate surround sound. The picture quality is unsurpasssed, even with other HDTV's standing side by side (Panasonic and Samsung). The on-screen menus are quite intuitive and easy to adjust. I highly reccomend this television.
Rating: Summary: Always 16x9 mode in 4x3 set Review: When the TV is on, it is always 16x9 screen. After you zoom it to full screen, image clarity suffers. To be worse, about 25% of the screen on both sides is cut off leaving 5 day weather forcast to 4 days. What is Sony thinking? Forcing people to buy 34hs420 for $500 more?
