Zenith's flat-screen C36V23 is a fully integrated HDTV set, offering both high-definition pictures and improved over-the-air reception of digital TV broadcasts using Zenith's fourth-generation 8-VSB chipset, which also lets you receive over-the-air data broadcasts. The set's ATSC tuner receives and decodes full 1,920 x 1,080 resolution HDTV broadcasts--without the need for a costly external set-top box. The set also includes a built-in NTSC tuner for high-quality standard-definition program reception. A 36-inch flat, fine-pitch picture tube provides distortion-free viewing with less glare than you get from conventional curved picture tubes. Picture quality and viewing are enhanced by an internal line doubler, a three-line digital comb filter, and 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio control through a user-friendly graphic interface. A full complement of component-video, composite AV, S-video, and RF inputs ensures compatibility with both digital and analog video sources.
