Summary: Worst Product Ever Owned
Review: I remenber when a Zenith nameplate meant well built, long lasting, and a solid value!! But-no more!! I bought the 52 inch version of this tv and have come to regret it every day!! It has some great features, but can't use them if the tv doesn't work!! (rgb input, front video inputs on left side, etc.)Bought tv on dec 26 2003-on dec 24 of 2004 it wouldn't come on! Power light flashes yellow for 25-35 seconds-then back to red!! Tried over and over and over!! Christmas eve-what can I do??? House full of realitives\kids-great!!
Waited till house cleared out since I felt they would still honor the warrenty, with it being x-mas and all!! When I first got the tv, I inquired about a part and received a helpful reply from a teresa simmons-so I contacted her!! MISTAKE!!! RECEIVED A GODS GIFT TO THE WORLD REPLY STATING THAT WASN'T HER DEPT, AND TOLD TO CONTACT ANOTHE SITE!! SAME THING WITH THEM!!!PASS THE BUCK OVER AND OVER!! THEN SOME RUDE,UNPROFESSIONAL, LITTLE PUNK BOY CALLED WHO HAD TROUBLE PRONOUNCING MY E-MAIL ADDRESS, (6 LETTERS AND 4 NUMBERS WAS OVER HIS EDUCATION LEVEL) AND SAID TO CONTACT THIS # !! BUT-GUESS WHAT-SINCE I DIDN'T TRASH CHRISTMAS FOR MY WHOLE FAMILY, I'M STUCK WITH A $400 REPAIR BILL!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WITH PEOPLE LIKE TERESA SIMMONS IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE ZENITH NAMEPLATE WILL SINK LOWER AND LOWER!! WARRENTY EXPIRED BY 2 OR 3 DAYS-TOO BAD-"IT'S NOT MY DEPT." RIGHT MISS SIMMONS????
NEVER-EVER-BUY A ZENITH ITEM, IF YOU EXPECT ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE OR HOPE TO GET ANY TYPE OF QUALITY PRODUCT FOR YOUR MONEY BECAUSE IT'S NOT MY DEPT IS THE ONLY PHRASE THEY KNOW UNLESS THEY HAVE MR VOCABULARY CALL YOU TO GIVE YOU YET ANOTHER # TO CALL!!!!

Summary: LCD Projection Screen Benefits
Review: During the process of shopping for a new HDTV, I was dead set on getting a plasma or LCD big screen. After seeing this TV in a local store, I was floored by the picture quality, which was better than Plasma or flat screen LCD.

Here is the deal with Plasma versus this TV. The LCD projection technology is solid, with brights and darks coming through without pixelation or loss of clarity. The Plasma technology is still new, and more often than not, there are issues with the picture of an affordable plasma, including bright darks and washed out colors. This LCD Projection screen nails all of the things that make a TV great and it has a small footprint. Plasma? I would rather spend the money on this, than three times the price for a plasma that is not up to snuff.

If you wish to have a full review of the benefits of the LCD projection versus the plasma, check out some of the reviews ...

Summary: Unless you want it on your wall, this is the way to go.
Review: Got it by the Super Bowl for my first HD game. The shipping company (Eagle USA) was phenomenal. They worked with me to make sure the thing got there on time (Thanks Alex!).

The TV itself is incredible. Out of the box and fired up in a couple of minutes. It's pretty light and easy to maneuver despite its size (make sure you know what you're getting into size wise, i.e. break out the tape measurer before you order it -- take it from a guy who didn't). The brightness and clarity are incredible and the RC and on screen displays are very intuitive and easy to work. It also has every input/output under the sun. The only downside (and it's very minor) is that it takes a few seconds to light up once it's turned on and a few more to brighten up, and the glare on such a large, polished screen is annoying in a bright room (obviously not unique to this TV). DVDs look incredible on it and HDTV is stunning. The built-in audio is pretty good, but I'm not much of a connoisseur when it comes to sound.

This TV lines up great against Plasma or LCD. As far as I'm concerned the *only* reason you'd get the latter is to hang the thing on the wall (and punish your wallet) -- for the cost difference you could add a few square feet to your house.

Zenith's got a winner here.

Summary: Nice product
Review: Got this baby a week or so ago and it's great. I almost bought the 50" Sony which I had seen at the store but a last minute search revealed some issue with the bulbs burning out so that scared me enough to choose the Zenith. I'd wanted a plasma originally, but the quality of this picture is comparable to a $6,000-$7,000 plasma of the same size. Nice.

The HD programming while limited in availability looks outstanding. I thought the brightness levels might be an issue in a bright room like I have but it's not. The TV is surprisingly slim, and not particularly heavy for a set of this size.

Summary: Great but had problem
Review: Great TV for price. Also you can replace the bulb which is a selling price as the plasmas have a limited life span. Problem I had is that 4 to 5 pixels went bad immediately upon receipt giving me a large green dot on the screen. Zenith will not replace unit with a new one, I requested, and I have to get an entire new light chasis installed which is the optics and the main projector to correct the problem. As such TV is in shop for 2 weeks or more. I am not too happy in how Zenith handled this but otherwise the TV itself is a great and versatile unit.

Summary: Great Buy!
Review: I had alot of time to research TV's. We just built an addition
that will serve as a media/rec room. I wanted to buy a tv that we could surf the internet and play video games on without worrying about burn in. The picture quality is just as good as the Sony and Panasonic and is 2" bigger. It is very stylish. The pictures dont do it justice. You can't see the front speakers like in the pics. I could not find a picture of the matching stand anywhere online, but ordered it any way. The stand is just as stylish. It has 2 heavy glass shelves for components that are open and do not have doors. The TV only takes 15-20 secs to turn on. My kids won't let me near it. They have been playing Xbox on it non stop. The built in speakers are very good. I purchased mine for $2,499 right here on Amazon. $1000 cheaper than Bestbuy. It goes on sale periodically. I recommend waiting for such a sale. It was delivered in perfect condition.

Summary: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TV **updated post**
Review: I have had this Zenith model for over a year now and have been happy with it up until now. Several weeks ago, the picture developed a blue streak about the size of my forearm. I contacted an authorized Zenith service center and found out the problem is not uncommon. The part to repair has to be replaced in its entirety and costs over $1600. I verified this was the same story at two different service centers. I contacted Zenith to raise a stink and THEY WILL NOT stand behind the product once the warranty expires. So consider this a warning !!!!
