Summary: like it, rebate came in finally! just one quirk.
Review: amazing value, fits right under my upper kitchen counter just right. one quirk is that occasionally it will hunt for the input but this could be how I've connected the unit to my directv tivo which is faaaaaaaaaaar away and goes through a conversion process via ultra thin telephone wiring. replaced the reomote with an all-in-one mx-500 that is just fab. picture is very good though cnn via directv sometimes come in with overly harsh red hues. rest of channels come in fine. wife is very happy with sleek look. neighbors jealous and want one. if anyone else gets a "searching for input" quirk as well, let me know.

Summary: NO SUPPORT
Review: As a TV this LCD is great. But as a monitor it leaves A LOT to be desired. I was hoping to use it for both TV and Monitor on my pc, but unfortunatly am only going to be able to use this as a TV.

I was tried finding somewhere to download a driver, to see if that could help, but I am unable to find any way to contact the MFG no matter where I search. I tried going to NexGen Technologies Inc. home page http://www.nextechinc.com/(which is no longer available) or calling their suport number and it was disconected. So if your buying this, I would do so expecting no support.

If anyone reading this does know of a site with drivers for this product please email me at itguyhere2004@yahoo.com

Summary: Real Digital RD2200 PC "driver" / Review
Review: Bought this monitor about 6 months ago and im really happy with it. I got a great price off this website. I use it with windows media center and when i hooked it up and ran the media center part it looked great but everything else like the windows desktop looked really grainy almost unreadable. After searching for a monitor driver because it simply installs "plug and play monitor i came up empty handed, nothing to be found" I figured out what you need to do is download a program called powerstrip, that allows you to tweak your settings to better suit this monitor. Using a page towards the back of the users manual that lists the monitors opimal frequency settings that cant be met using simply windows. After putting these settings into this program that runs at startup my desktop looks 5 times better than what it looks like when just plugging it in. Enjoy this great monitor

Summary: Good enough
Review: I bought this TV about a month ago after contemplating Sharp, Samsung, Philips et al. In my opinion Philips and Samsung make best LCD TVs - I've heard some negative comments about samsungs breaking down though. What I like about this TV is that it gives you the best price/performance ratio. It does'nt perform as well as picture tube based TVs but if you compare it strictly to LCD TVs only, it stacks up well with other competitors. In the panorama mode the images are noticeably distorted on the sides. In all modes the picture is grainier and not as bright as a picture tube. It does a significantly better job with DVD and HD signals. The picture quality is very comparable to Sharp Acquous TVs. It has an NTSC tuner, PIP/POP and pretty much every adjustment that you would ever want. Remote is huge and very busy - too many buttons. It's heavier than most other TVs of comparable size. I removed the stand before mounting it on the wall and it weighed about 26 lbs withoug stand. Most wall mounts can only take up to 30 lbs weight so you're on borderline there. The speakers are better than most other brands offer. I found Sanus wall mounts (beachaudio.com) to be good with this TV. This TV is not wall mount friendly at all. There is no way to mount the speakers. After much thinking I decided to detach the speaker stands and stick the speakers to the TVs using an industrial strength velcro. I like the results - now the speakers look like they're built into the TV itself - kind of like the Sharp Acquous with side speakers.

Summary: This is the worst monitor I ever experience.
Review: I have bought 1-Samsung,1-NEC, 1-DELL and 1 Samsung TV/LCD monitor + 2 HDTV in my house. This RD2200 is the worst one. When you connect to computer output. You can not even read any thing on monitor. It blur out even at 1280x1024. It take a while to switch from one signal to the other. I do have digital TV signal from Direct TV. Picture for TV output is not as clear as other TV I have (Samsung TV/LCD). This one I got may be defective one. I test only one. Beside picture quality I still will not buy it due to time delay when switching from one mode to other. Much better spent money somewhere. Other people who bought may never connect to PC to see or have only analog cable TV and think it was signal problem from cable. It is not so. This is the first time I ever give bad comments on any products. Be careful.

Summary: This works great if you know what you are doing!
Review: I have this panel. I bought it because I wanted a TV in the bedroom and had limited space and money. I really wanted HDTV but from 6 feet away only videophiles could obviously tell the difference between EDTV and HDTV. SO I took the plunge and bought this. The rebate came quickly and yes there is NO technical support here. You are on your own. Also the warranty is serviced by AMAZON. The CR was shocked when I told her she was the one to help me. She laughed..but on with the story. I have this paired with a Samsung HDTV Directv receiver. I have my Directv TIVO and DVD player plugged into the SAMMY and then they all get connected to the LCD using DVI. The HDTV picture is fantastic and the TIVO is superior to the SVIDEO connection I used to use. The DVD is crisp and clear using 480P. The bottom line is that if you pair this with a a good video receiver you will be happy with this low cost LCD panel. And yes..don't even think of trying this as a computer monitor...It is awful!

Summary: great value for a 22in 16:9
Review: I love watching wide screen DVD in HDTV quality on it
You can choose 4:3, 16:9 or panorama modes - the image however is distorted when the image is not encoded in 16:9 (slightly wider)

It has PIP, *great* speakers, light-weight - looks really slick
Picture is bright at many angles

I am very happy with this TV (and can be hooked up to a laptop too)

Summary: Very good quality
Review: I never heard of Real Digital, but I did my comparisons. This product spec'd out right where I was looking, and it was priced considerably better than similarily featured models from other brands. I'm very pleased with the quality of this TV, both picture quality and build quality. It looks and feels as though it will last a long time. I'm impressed.

Review: I thought the product lived up to it's billing. I just use the tv portion and find it to work very well. I'm very satisfied with the product.
