Description:
Hitachi's UltraBlack dark tinted picture tube provides superior contrast, sharpness, and color purity. Unlike some manufacturers that spray black dye onto the picture tube, Hitachi injects the dye into the molten glass before the tube is formed, for an even tint that cannot be rubbed off. Combined with phosphor dots that provide stable phosphor color and high screen brightness, this creates remarkable depth and realism. The dual tuner picture-in-picture system can show either one sub-picture--which, with variable move, can be placed anywhere on the screen and show in two different sizes--or four sub-pictures along the right side of the screen. Quick freeze instantly puts a snapshot of the main picture into the sub-picture. Strobe freeze captures four sub-pictures, each three-tenths of a second apart. Our new auto channel surf allows you to watch one channel on the main picture, while the sub-picture scans, or surfs, through the other channels. The favorite channel preview feature works in harmony with the family favorites feature to put still images of your favorite channels in the four sub-pictures. This television also features channel ID, which allows you to add onscreen labels to TV stations. You can use this feature to add easy-to-identify names for your favorite stations, such as station number, channel name, or call letters. This TV also gives parents more control over program viewing by showing TV and movie ratings.
