Summaries and times of all programs are instantly accessible with the touch of a remote-control button. This free, easy-to-use TV programming service, "GUIDE Plus GOLD", allows you to view listings up to 48 hours in advance. Find a program you like and access it via one-touch tuning by navigating to your desired program in the on-screen guide. The same feature can work in sync with your VCR to enable simple recording of your favorite shows. In addition, we liked some of the other built-in features, such as Parent Control. This unit's V-Chip technology, allows parents to block out all programming within a specific television industry rating. For example, you can choose to filter out all TV-MA (for mature audiences only) programming, and your TV will display a black screen in place of the scheduled programs. While there is no way to prevent the broadcasters from airing long commercials, this RCA TV offers another option. Commercial-skip is a feature that allows you to surf through other channels for the duration of the commercial break. To enable it, simply press the commercial-skip button on your remote once for each 30 seconds of desired surfing time. When your time runs out, the TV automatically tunes back in to your original program so that you don't miss a second. Of course, the drawback to this feature is that you must correctly estimate the length of the commercial break. Despite its imperfection, we found ourselves frequently using commercial-skip to bypass annoying ads. Pros:
