Summary: Awesome Flat Screen!
Review: This is an awesome TV. I really love the ultra-flat screen. I hooked up my Playstation 2 through component video cables and DVD's and games look mindblowing. I hooked up my Dish Network Sattelite Reciever through S-Video cables and it looks really good too. It also has AWESOME sound. Of course, I hooked it up to a stereo reciever. AWESOME resolution(picture), AWESOME sound!

Summary: Affordable Flat Screen WEGA TV
Review: This is Sony's least expensive 27" WEGA Flat Screen TV, and is by far the most affordable. I could not afford a HDTV at today's prices, so I was looking at only convential TV's when purchasing this one. The priamry reasons I purchased this TV over all the others available are:1. The Flat Screen, This is Sony's world renownded FD Trinitron Tube. It has extrememly true color representation, and outstanding contrast. 2. The 16:9 enhanced mode for DVD's. I am primarily a movie watcher, so this was very important to me. This technology take the 500 horizontal lines of resolution and concentrates them on a smaller area of the screen for enhanced widescreen DVD resolution. The technology is outstanding, and it is extremely close to HDTV quality playback for DVD's. 3. Component video input. Although the cables are not cheap, component video is the highest quality way to get a DVD single to your TV, and the color shows it. 4. Velocity Modulation enhancement. This feature gives a greatly enhanced perception of resolution, and it really works. I also purchased the matching stand for it. I can't tell you how much I love this TV. I also own two FD trinitron computer monitors, and they are the best displays I have ever owned. I highly recomend this TV, and especially at this price range!

Summary: wow perfect television
Review: This is the best picture on a television withoyt spending thousands on a high-definition television. It has a 3-line digital comb, an s-video input, and componet video input. I hooked it up to my sony dvps530d DVD player and kenwood vr-305 reciever. It is perfect fo a home theater system. At less then $600.00 this is superb. My moms trinitron lasted her 15 years so I know how superb trinitron screens are. If you just bought or are going to get a DVD player you need a television like this to get the most from it.

Summary: Fantastic Picture
Review: This is THE best tv I have ever owned. After the cable guy hooked up my tv, the first thing he said was "wow that's a great picture". I also own a 19" trinitron monitor for my computer. I never even considered another brand. Sony makes the best electronics period. It's worth the extra money to get a product you know is the best. The popping sound experienced when the set is turned on is a built in feature. It disperses electromagnetic charges that can build up from the earth's magnetic field. It states this in the manual. My computer monitor does the same thing. I've never had a poping noise when changing channels. No problems whatsoever with this tv. Fantastic picture, flat screen, bright. Short of High Definition, this is the best picture possible.

Summary: Flat screen is worth the price
Review: We recently bought the first tv we had bought in ten years. The first time we saw this tv, we thought that the flat screen was cool, then thought that the silver sides were distracting. The next time, we weren't that impressed at all. The third, time, still being drawn to the tv, we thought we would investigate more. The flat screen really is cool; there is a lot less distortion. However, the silver of the set can be distracting. We mostly watch movies at night, and you don't notice when the lights are out. What put us over the edge on the tv however, was the 16:9 ratio.Again, we watch mostly movies, and the flat screen combined with the 16:9 ratio was a draw. The only drawback, again, is the silver color of the tv. Also, do not be tempt to pay more for the FV model. The primary difference is the location of the speakers (you can have surround sound with the FV model). However, by attaching speaker to this model, you get the same effect, but better, and for less money.

Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: Working in Circuit City and being around TV's all day, I can definately say that the Sony Wega is the most impressive looking television I have seen. I played a Playstation 2 on other TV's, but when I hooked it up to this, I was impressed. It is amazing how crisp and clear the image is, and how the flat screen eliminates distortion. The picture is near perfect. I would HIGHLY suggest this TV to anybody who watches DVD movies or plays video games. This TV gives you top of the line quality without a projection tube, giving you the best picture at any angle.
