The CT-20G7D's two-line digital comb filter separates the color from the black-and-white components of the television signal and it's helpful in removing "dot crawl" (tiny moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical or horizontal line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). When you turn the TV on for the first time, an auto setup menu appears on the screen with instructions for selecting the menu language. Auto Programmable Scan automatically tunes all available channels in your area or cable system into memory, and then lets you add or delete the channels of your choice.

Meanwhile, AISC (Artificial Intelligence Sound Control) continually adjusts the sound level to prevent wide variations in volume between different TV channels and types of programming. Channel Lock and Game Guard let parents control television use and prevent the set from displaying video games and outside video sources. You can block up to four individual channels, all channels and all video inputs, or channels three and four plus all video inputs for 12, 24, or 48 hours.

With channel labeling, an ID of one to four characters, such as KOMO or WNET, can be assigned to 30 channels. This feature comes in handy when cable systems assign different channel numbers to familiar network stations.
