Review: Okay so imagine this... contemplating what to spend my money for tax returns I decide to get a tv for my small college apartment. I considered getting an televison with hd ready features and paying upwards of...plus for a 32" knowing I wouldn't even be able to fully utilize the service unless paying for cable upgrades and waiting for the broadcasters to convert to high definiton. Pulling a complete 180 I stumble across this set through amazon while trying to get to more advanced televisions. I am glad I did. 20 inch's is perfect for my 12 x 10 room and the picture speaks volumes. The flat screen produces no glare (the tv is right in front of a window) and the colors are noticable brighter and sharper then others I checked out [elsewhere] I searched trying to find a better deal not wanting to wait on shipping and eager to throw away my check. I could not find a flat tv within $... of the price range this one sold for...I can not believe they shipped it for free. The poor ups guy went up 3 flights of stars and dropped it on my door (it is a 55 pound tv). Sounds great, looks great, has a special feature for playing dvd's. Many outputs to plug things in. Stylish silver frame. Well thoughtout remote, with not to many confusing buttons. Everything you would want, with out any of the confusing, expensive, annoyance other tv's come with and are difficult to operate. This turned me into a amazon beliver, I am one happy camper.

Summary: Good Stuff
Review: Perfect picture quality and works really well. The picture is sharp and looks good through my component video cables into my panasonic DVD player. The size of it is not too over bearing and the sound quality is very defined. The remote is basic, but can act as a universal remote for the dvd player of your vcr if you are in a pinch. Lots of inputs, the only downside is no stereo audio out, just headphone out. Has v-chip and is simple setup. Looks like a wega, good stuff, BUY THIS!

Review: Received the Jensen 20" today. Eventually got it all hooked up, but no picture. I'm the second reviewer to receive this set new with a bad picture tube. The sound worked, but it was rather muddy sounding. I gave it 2 stars because it looks good just sitting turned off. Don't waste your time on this.

Review: The Jensen Q2049J has a great picture, but the sound is lo-fi and difficult to understand at low volume, and annoying at high volume. The price is great (I paid 149.95, free shipping) and it has a lot of features, but the poor sound keeps it from being a good deal!

Summary: Horrible Product
Review: The picture quality was good, but the TV stopped working after 2 weeks. I should have sent it back when I found out it wouldn't work with any other remote. My emails to Jensen went unanswered. After spending money on a universal remote to control it and my cable box, it stopped working totally. Stay away from this unit, unless you want to spend money on an extra remote, and then have it fail on you.

Review: They Don't Last!!! I've had this Jensen for three months now and it's perfect,I set the color and sound the first day and never felt the need to go back to fine tune it,picture and sound are GREAT!! If it only lasts two years I'll be happy and ahead some $500$ if I had bought another sony.

Review: This is a great deal with one major caveat. Jensen has gone out of business, so parts and service MAY be hard to come by down the road. But you're probably going to buy a new TV anyway in 4-5 years with the advent of digital TV, so get this one for the interim. Great Flatscreen technology delivers a sharp picture - impressive with a DVD player. Wait and see if Amazon offers free shipping again and this is a killer deal.

Review: This is a REAL Flat TV! The picture is wonderful and the price was amazing. Best of all, I can hook up my DVD player right into the DVD connections. That's nice.

Summary: TV died soon after arrival -- warranty seems bogus
Review: This might be a decent TV set if it works at all, but it's not a sensible or safe purchase.

Mine worked adequately for a few days and then failed. It has now been four weeks and it still functions only as a paperweight. Although Amazon advertises this product as having an in-home warranty, you should be aware that the support may be of no value whatsoever. Jensen has only recently begun selling TV sets and does not have a functioning service network for them. Although they say that they have been trying to find a service provider in the Washington DC metro area, they have been unable (unwilling?) to do so over several weeks. Verifying this with an independent service tech, I've been told that many parts are available only from Jensen. The only warranty contact information provided is a telephone number for a voicemail box and an address. which seems to be a drop-box for a company in British Columbia, Canada. It is EXTREMELY difficult to get them to return phone calls. The first sign of life came one week after I began sending emails and leaving messages. The Jensen parent website reveals no contact mechanism at all. If you poke around the internet, it turns out that Jensen has become Recoton in FL, with an email address that returns all mail as undeliverable.

Review: THIS TELEVISION IS AWESOME. IN APPEARANCE, IT LOOKS JUST LIKE A SONY VEGA AND THE PICTURE IS JUST INCREDIBLE.
