Summary: Disappointed
Review: I bought this tv thinking I was getting the best analog tv that's out there. I was disappointed to discover I was wrong. On the whole the picture quality was great except that the lower left corner of the image was distorted and curved up. This proved very annoying and I looked terrible on letter boxes since it was not square.

Summary: Definitely Satisfied
Review: I did a LOT of online research prior to purchasing this TV, although it was the Sony KV-32FS200 which I was originally set to buy (see below for more on that model and why I did not purchase it).
I ultimately went with this unit (even though it was more expensive) because it had all of the features that I was looking for, and the picture looked great at the local electronics store.

I don't have any real complaints about this TV, and I'd definitely recommend it.
Some observations:

You should be aware that this is a really heavy set (175 lbs), so you'll need a sturdy stand and a helper to lift it.

The volume settings seem to increase significantly at each notch, which means that I must choose between a little too low, or a little too high (I need a Goldilocks setting which would be "just right"). The incremental settings could be much less pronounced, but it is not a big issue in the least, as the sound quality is good overall.

I did notice that the bottom-left portion of the screen has a semi-distorted effect when text is rolling along the bottom of the screen (news updates, stock data, etc). However, while it's noticeable, it's not particularly distracting (and all text is fully legible). Odd though.

There is nothing else that I consider to be "a negative" at this point. I've had the unit for about a week, and I like it.

* Special note about the Sony KV-32FS200 (not currently sold at Amazon):

This unit is HORRIBLE at displaying text. Large text, small text, top of the screen, middle of the screen, bottom of the screen. Small text is sometimes unreadable! How can that be!? Well, however it can be, it IS.

I double-checked this issue on 2 different sets in 2 different stores just to be sure (I originally wanted to buy this model). Text was HORRIBLE on both sets, so it's a problem which is inherent to the model.

If you watch football (or any sport that displays game stats and game situations) - forget it.
If you watch movies with subtitles - forget it.
If you care about reading anything that appears on the screen - forget it.

I honestly cannot believe that they have not pulled this model from the shelves.
If you consider buying the Sony KV-32FS200, re-think it. You're better off spending the extra money and purchasing the KV-32FV300 instead. I'm glad that I did.

Summary: Wega has a lasting impression
Review: I've only had this TV for a few days, that's why I did not give it five stars, it still needs to be played with a lot more if I am to find some real 'cons'.

First off, spend the extra money on DVD cables. I have a progressive scan panasonic DVD player, and I bought Monster's 2 component cable ($80), and wow. That's all I have to say. The picture is brilliant and vivid. Bug's Life looked amazing.

Some of the features are over hyped. i.e. the enhanced 16:9 widescreen mode. This is only half cool if you have a movie in letterbox [16:9] format, and it squishe's the image to look like anamorphic format. Looks very contrived.

On a side note. The picture mode is set to 'cool'. You might want to set it to standard first. Then, go to your screen options [not basic mode], and alternate between vivid and standard again. So, you can set your prefference. Cinema mode looks not that great compared to the other two.- IMO.

If you're in the market for a 32" TV, SONY is the best, but Toshiba's flat 32" is remarkable as well.-If you have the opportunity have a retail salesman hook up a DVD player with component cabes to 2 or 3 of the TV's you wish to buy, this can be a great buying technique.-I had them do it and purchased the Sony 30 secs afterwards.

Summary: A good set
Review: The first time I bought this tv it had a non-functioning PIP... the set was replaced immediately by the store and the second set has worked flawlessly for over 6 months, now. I have had no issues with distortion as is mentioned in some of the other reviews or text. I do not access the internet on the tv so text quality ist critical.

I will say that one of the reasons I bought the set was for the PIP... and it is a bit of a pain as you have to use the tv's (not your cable companies) remote... so even tho i bought it for the PIP, i rarely use it. Your also getting the PIP directly off the cable line and not the converter box with pip...so you wont get any scrambled stations and some channel positions may be different. Its more of a hassle than i imagined.

I bought the tv and brought it home myself...something i wouldnt do again. This set is extreamly heavy. The controls arent especially intuative altho it didnt take *too* much to figure them out.

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase but i have learned some lessons about PIP with this purchase...as well as making sure my next purchase includes delivery.

Summary: great set, go get one now
Review: this TV not only has one of the best pictures that I've seen, but it is also one of the best looking tv's I've seen. My cable doesn't give enough picture quality, so to really test this baby out, hook it up to the component DVD... and it kicks ... Also, I have my PS2 plugged in sVIDEO at the same time, which is sweet. It is a great machine, but it also just looks so damn cool in my living room. It's like a great piece of art. It just looks great, but when you turn it on, it's extremely functional. It is a NEED for your house.

Summary: It's a Sony! - lives up to the name.
Review: When my tv arrived my neighbors were in my apartment when the installers unpacked and set it up. There was an audible gasp from everyone when the set was turned on.
This is the best picture I have seen in a tube tv - bar none!
The colors are bright and vibrant. Another plus - this is the first tv I have owned where I have not had to adjust the factory settings. There are also settings for Vivid/Standard/Movie/Sports although I never stray much from the Standard setting.
I have always had poor quality cable on one or two channels and the cable company has been unable to improve my reception after a few visits.
This tv is perfect on ALL channels and the flat screen will spoil one for future purchases. I will never go back to a regular screen tv.
I researched this purchase for a long time and know that this is the best 32" tv out there.
I indulged and bought the Sony touch screen remote (RM-AV3000) and lay back in the Lazy Boy and ENJOY watching this tv, whether it be regular broadcasts, dvd or rented movies.
