Rating: Summary: Outstanding TV, good price Review: I evaluated the picture quality and relative value of this product to that of the Toshiba 24AF41, comparable Panasonic and Sony models. Based upon reviews read earlier here, I was leaning towards the Toshiba before I even started looking. When comparing features, neither the Panasonic nor the Sony have Component Video input while both the Toshiba and JVC do. The picture quality side by side between the Toshiba and JVC look very close and both were clearly superior to the Panasonic and Sony, all displaying local TV station signals. In three separate stores, the JVC's picture looked very slightly better in terms of contrast ratio, color saturation, and geometry than the Toshiba. Interlace also looked better in two samples of the JVC compared to the Toshiba. I purchased the JVC. Once at home and hooked up to DVD via component video cables... WOW!!! Remarkable picture!! Almost looks like HDTV! No scan lines, rock stable, great definition. To say the least, I'm VERY pleased!

Rating: Summary: THE BEST TV ON EARTH Review: I just got the JVC AV-24F702 Television and it is amazing. It has 3 A/V inputs in which i hooked up my Playstation 2 and Dreamcast into. The flat screen has amazing resolution important if you live to play video games and watch DVDs and Movies. The convienient size of the Television makes it possible to fit in tight spaces and it will increase the value of any room that you put it in. If you want a great TV for a low price, get this one because this television is worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: Very good TV. Review: I purchased a JVC AV24F703 24" TV at AmericanTV in Wisconsin in July 02. It was on display along side comparable Sony and Toshiba (24AF42) models...The JVC was [a little] more than the Toshiba but that was not a consideration. All three sets had video that looked good but I'm no expert. There were only minor feature differences. The Toshiba had exposed channel/vol controls, which I preferred, on the front while the JVC had all front panel controls under a cover. The Toshiba also had a volume leveler for obnoxious commercials but I was unable to check this in a noisy store. I ended up making my decision based on the remotes. The JVC had large, clearly marked, and easily reached (directly under the thumb) channel/ vol controls. It seems to me that this is what you would want for the most used buttons. The Toshiba channel/vol buttons were small, poorly marked and located on the top right. The JVC remote used 2 AA's which have approximately four times the storage capacity at about the same cost as the AAA's used by the Toshiba. It is mainly for these reasons that I went with the JVC. It may seem silly to judge a TV by the remote, but this the part that the user has the most contact with. After viewing the set at home, I am very pleased with it. Reception of local broadcast stations using an attic antenna is better than any set I've seen. My only complaint is that the JVC has a default setting for cable/broadcast that must be changed through the menu system or else only VHF channels come in. This is described in the manual but who reads those? In summary, I'm quite pleased with this JVC AV24F703.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding TV, good price Review: If you are looking for a high quality, smaller TV for an area such as your bedroom, then look no further than this model. Overall, the picture quality is outstanding, and with the multiple inputs which are available, hooking up with a DVD and/or video game console is a snap. A good purchase for the money.
