Description:

With a dark-tinted picture tube and sleek silver cabinet, this 25-inch Sharp TV delivers crisp video for movies, games, and broadcast programming while also adding a touch of style to the living room or den. The picture tube ensures high contrast and precise outlines, so viewers don't have to strain when viewing images on the screen. In addition, the TV's color temperature correction function adjusts for the light sources in a room, cooling the colors when it's too bright and warming them when it's noticeably dim. The model is easy to set up and use thanks to the auto channel programming, which instinctively identifies all the compatible channels for quick viewing. The TV also offers up to 16 favorite channel presets, so users can surf their favorites exclusively.

Additional features include a trilingual onscreen menu, an energy saver function that reduces power consumption, and a universal remote that controls a TV, DVD player, VCR, and most cable boxes. Parents will appreciate the V-chip and viewing timer, both of which help manage their children's viewing habits. The V-chip blocks mature or questionable programming based on its predetermined ratings, while the viewing timer invites parents to decide how much TV their kids should watch each day (in 30-minute intervals). The model also includes a special closed captioning feature that plays captions each time the viewer mutes the TV, letting users appreciate the text in silence.

The 25-C340 plays audio soundtracks on its 3-watt speaker system (1.5 watts x 2), which features MTS stereo decoding. It also receives secondary audio broadcasts (typically in a second language) when available. Use the rear S-video input to connect to DVD players and other high-quality video sources, and the front and rear composite inputs to connect to video game consoles, camcorders, VCRs, and other components.
