Description:
This 32-inch stereo TV packs a full-featured wallop, with such video technologies as three-line digital comb filtering and Hyper Surround sound and conveniences like JVC's exclusive Hyper Scan channel changer and a universal remote control. Top-of-the-line component-video inputs accept video from compatible DVD players and satellite systems, and S-video and standard RCA composite-video inputs accommodate most other video sources. The set offers three audio/video inputs, one of which is on the front panel for hooking up a VCR, camcorder, or gaming consoler. A rear-panel RF input accommodates older VCRs, cable boxes, and antennas. A set of stereo analog-audio outputs simplifies hookup. The AV32330's three-line comb filter enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). At five channels per second, JVC's Hyper Scan high-speed channel changer is the fastest channel changer in the industry. A dark-tinted picture tube and black-level expansion give greater contrast for viewing in darkened rooms. The AV32330's MTS decoder receives not only stereo broadcast signals, but Second Audio Programming (SAP) as well, an additional channel usually used for an alternate-language track. Hyper Surround simulates surround from any two speakers, and the set's own front-firing speakers are powered by 3 watts each. A multifunction timer turns the TV on and off for you when you're not home, or works as an alarm clock or program reminder, and a feature called Apacon enhances picture sharpness. Other features include an interactive plug-in menu, front-panel lock, auto shutoff, Channel Guard and V-Chip, closed captioning with text, XDS (Extended Data Service), auto clock set with ID display, and universal remote control with TV, VCR, and DVD control capability.
