Description:

This 13-inch television is so personable, Konka actually gave it a name: the Chubby Tubby TV. It comes in a playful blue and aqua cabinet. The A1386U is an excellent choice for children with its toylike profile, front audio-video inputs, and a simple direct-channel remote.

There is a front set of buttons that are rather small, and visually blend into the stylish cabinet. These buttons control power, volume up and down, channel up and down, and switch-to-video. Front audio-video inputs connect to auxiliary electronics like camcorders and gaming devices. A rear set of audio-video inputs can connect your Konka to a VCR or DVD player.

Dual 1-watt speakers deliver rich audio. Rear audio outputs enable connection to two additional power amplifiers to create your own home stereo.

The tuner is quartz, phase-loop-lock synthesized and covers up to 181 channels and is cable ready. The antenna is VHF, UHF, and CATV with coaxial input. It requires 120 volts, and when it is turned on it consumes 70 watts of power.

Using your remote control, you can program your television with an onscreen, multilanguage display in English, French, and Spanish. Auto channel programming scans into memory only active channels from antenna or cable. A convenient sleep timer automatically turns off the TV at a preset time of up to 120 minutes. A closed-captioning decoder allows the hearing-impaired to read TV dialogue on broadcasts without a separate external decoding device.

The Konka A1386U comes with two AA batteries and a full-function, infrared remote that offers direct channel access.
