Panasonic's CT-32SF37 SuperFlat television creates bright pictures and deep colors on its 32-inch-diagonal, flat, black screen. The SuperFlat system helps deter reflections, and the horizontal and vertical edge-correction systems help sharpen the edges of objects on screen. Stereo/SAP reception with dbx noise reduction helps give you clear sound, while Spatializer 3-D Stereo creates surround sound from just two front speakers. The two-tuner picture-in-picture allows for easy channel surfing and automatic color adjustment. Reflections from room lights and windows wash out the color on an ordinary TV. But the screens on SuperFlat system TVs help eliminate such detail-robbing reflections. The picture tube creates a wide, flat field of vision for a natural, accurate-looking picture from corner to corner. Specially formulated black glass is part of the system that creates images with higher contrast and accurate color reproduction. The flat screen also gives the CT-32SF37 SuperFlat system TV the feel of a movie screen for a theaterlike experience. Component-video inputs consist of the luminance signal (Y) and two separate chrominance signals (PB and PR) combined. They produce outstanding resolution and color accuracy in video images. Component-video inputs also accept either progressive or interlaced signals from a variety of sources, such as a DVD player or an optional DTV set-top decoder box. Two S-video inputs also facilitate hook up with DVD players, VCRs, and game consoles. Horizontal and vertical edge-correction systems in the CT-32SF37 help sharpen the edges of objects onscreen. They work in conjunction with the digital comb filter, dynamic sharpness control, and velocity-modulated scan to help produce crisp, clean images and reduce the effects of video noise. The CT-32SF37 is equipped with a built-in stereo decoder that can receive both TV stereo and Separate Audio Program (SAP) broadcasts where available. The dbx noise-reduction system helps give you clear, crisp sound with appropriate stereo separation. Panasonic's twin-dome sound system combines high quality audio (10 watts x 2 from 20 to 20,000 Hz into 8 ohms with 10 percent THD) with space-saving design. Dual-magnet speakers sit on either side of the picture tube to provide optimum stereo separation and make it easy for you to house your SuperFlat system TV in a wall unit. In case you're integrating the CT-32SF37 with a home theater, the set offers both fixed and variable audio outputs, letting you feed a separate preamplifier or audio receiver to listen through a separate speaker system. Artificial intelligence sound control automatically adjusts the volume level on your SuperFlat system TV to prevent wide variations in sound between different TV stations and types of programming. Two built-in tuners with channel search and the useful picture-in-picture feature let you watch two TV programs simultaneously. Swap the main screen and inset picture at the touch of a button. You can use this feature to search your favorite channel memory or to scan available channels in the inset picture during channel search. The Director lighted home theater remote control with joystick is the only one you'll need to operate all components in your home theater. With its lighted keypad, the remote is easily located in dark environments. The Director remote can be programmed to control most current audio and video equipment, such as VCRs, DVD players, cable TV boxes, CD players, laser disc players, DBS receivers, stereo receivers, and audiocassette tape decks.
