Summary: It's great, excellent, But I hate that damn noise
Review: I love this TV; it looks great in my bedroom. Those letterboxed pictures playing in my DVD look awesome in this TV, I almost feel like if I were at the movies. There is just one thing wrong with them; it's that annoying demagnetizer sound when you turn it on. At the store it did not seem like much but it makes a lot of noise in my bedroom. I'm not sure if Sony already corrected this and the newer units do not have this, but mine does and I Hate it. So, before you buy it, be sure you can handle it.

Review: I recently purchased the Sony KV-24FV12 24" Flat TV. I absolutely love the picture and sound quality. I have it in my bedroom on a swivel stand and I can watch it at any angle. I paid $549 for it at the Wiz and I think it was worth every penny. I was going to get the 20" FS model but the 24" was more appropriate and it came with better audio. I would recommend this set for anyone looking for the ultimate watching experience.

Summary: Fantastic Picture
Review: I should first state that I'm not a Sony fan. While they make great high-end products, they're entry level Audio-Visual electronics tend to be overpriced and sub-par compared to other A/V brands (Panasonic and JVC make better entry level TVs, in my opinion).

However, I was totally impressed with this the 24" Wega "V". This TV is truly best in class. While Toshiba and JVC offer Component Video hook-ups on their sets, true A/V enthusiats have to ask the question, "Who buys a 24 inch TV for a home theater experience?" The benefits of component hook-ups are really only detectable on HDs and larger 32"+ TVs. TVs in this size belong in a kitchen, bedroom, or small dorm room.

So despite the Sony's lack of component video plugs, I would argue this model excels through its wide array of picture, sound, and convenience features. The unit has the most powerful speakers of any 24-incher (10 watt speakers) and allow for flexible SRS and simulated surround settings. The picture quality is amazing, and can only be appreciated by sending in a high-resolution feed (a-la DVD). XDS will tell you what show is on, the name of the channel, how much of the shows left, the total length of an episode, and provide V-chip rating guide all at the same time. A special DVD setting gets you a 16:9 set-up. The 3 function remote is also one of the best I've seen for a "small" TV.

The 24FV Wega is truly the best TV in its class. It's got the best price to performance ratio of any TV in the 20 to 27 inch range.

Summary: no noticable difference
Review: i'm very disapointed. i heard these TV's were better than the older ones. there was almost no difference from my 5 year old phillips magnavox. this "flat screen" gives you horrible angles from everywhere except stright in front of it. This is just an expensive peice of ....

Summary: Flat TV - Sony 24"
Review: It is interesting that you may be considering the Sony 24 Flat...when in fact you canget the [less expensive] Aiwa TV-F2400u 25" set...Aiwa is about 40% Sony parts, and when it comes down to it, Aiwa seemed to get the newer technology. The Aiwa set has a very convienient S-Video and RGB Connection inputs on the front of the set for junior to stick in his Sony Playstation or Nintendo 64 into, but for the Sony, reaching around back will prove your only option. The front panel s-video input makes it convienient to stick in your Video camera output without having unplug your stereo receiver plus reaching around back of your large set just get it plugged in. Besides, having 2 different S-Video inputs is sure convienent. Don't think you won't need them, because believe me, you will. For both the Sony and Aiwa, due to fact they share similar parts, the flat screen is beautiful. Color is very vivid and the image is sharp. Distortion common on rounded sets will be something of the past. Sitting at angles from the front of the set and even sitting close to a set, is not very bothersome. Sound for the Sony, is better than average, however sound with the Aiwa is crisp and alive. Consider investing in a AV Stereo system. For the Aiwa however sound is perfect. For the Aiwa set only, speech is crisp, stereo is king. Invest in a good tv stand, or convince grandma to lay there and be your television stand. Consider investing in a good power surge protector. I rate the Sony 4 stars because of no S-video input on the front panel and that you needlessly have to lose an inch of television and retail...more. I rate the Aiwa TV-2400u five stars because it has features.

Good luck.

Summary: Fantastic Picture
Review: The clarity of the picture is nothing less than marvelous. I don't know how anyone could complain about this flat screen, which reduces glare and reflection. It is almost as though one is looking at real people through the glass.

The set has various sound and picture control features which enable the user to adjust the brightness of the picture and the quality of the sound.

The sound features are good. I run it through my stereo and the sound becomes great. This is just the best TV I have ever had or used.
