The JVC AV27120 is a feature-packed 27-inch color TV. The set has a two- line digital comb filter and a 27-inch diagonal, full square, dark-tinted picture tube capable of up to 550 lines of horizontal resolution.It offers MTS stereo with dbx and second audio program (SAP). JVC's Hyper Surround lets you experience the effect of surround sound without the use of rear speakers. The speakers can be turned on or off via remote. All functions can be easily accessed via the universal remote and scrolling menu. The remote comes preprogrammed with the codes to control 122 brands of VCRs and 81 brands of cable boxes. Features include a TV/VCR switch and a trilingual display option for English, French, or Spanish. Hyper Scan allows you to channel surf at five channels per second. The Return+ feature lets you return to a favored station at any time with the touch of a button. The AV27120 has XDS auto clock set and a multifunction timer. The timer can be programmed to turn the television on and off, can work as an alarm clock to wake you up, or a sleep timer to turn itself off after you fall asleep. The JVC AV27120 has an S-Video input as well as standard audio-video inputs for easy hookup with video sources.
