Rating: Summary: Rajkumar is right. Excellent product Review: I selected this particular 27 inch set pretty much on the recommendation of Mr. Rajkumar (above). I wanted a state of the art set to work with my new Comcast digital cable. Compared to the 11 year old JVC set upstairs in my computer den, the new set downstairs is like a fine magazine illustration compared to a very good newspaper color photo. Now why didn't I buy a cheaper 27" set? Good question. I was influenced by Rajkuman's statement that this is the set for the digital age. So until I get a HDTV format set, this one should do nicely. Also liked the feature of controling my VCR from my new JVC remote. Plan to add a DVD set next week. I'm a retired Foreign Service media producer having served in the USA and abroad and I have watched TV take over the world. I just love TV and the better it looks the better I like it.
Rating: Summary: Rajkumar Review: This is JVC D_series television "Welcome the digital age with open arms". The main features attracted me are its reduced curvature CRT (not as flat as Sony wega, still its good), high resolution, natural colors. You may feel the skin colors pale (natural) when compared to Sony/Panasonic, which has red shade dominating. Picture quality is very good (crisp and sharp). You can adjust the picture sharpness from soft to sharp. On screen menu is simple and user friendly. Hyper surround sound is good, but upgraded speakers (more watts) would have been better. It's definitely a good buy with the features, performance and good price range.
