The RCA F36665 36-inch TV features a single-tuner picture-in-picture for viewing two programs at the same time--both in color. F36665's advanced circuitry delivers excellent picture performance with up to 790 lines of horizontal resolution. A three-line digital comb filter eliminates blurred edges between colors and reduces dot crawl, producing a high level of picture sharpness and enhancing detail. The dark glass picture tube and RCA's 110-degree high performance system combine to deliver outstanding picture contrast for blacker blacks, brilliant whites, and deep, rich colors even in brightly lit rooms. The F36665's digitally controlled, frequency-synthesized 181-channel tuner accurately "locks on" to cable and broadcast stations. The tuner is also shielded, which dramatically reduces ghosting caused from off-air pick-up when watching cable channels. Two full-range, front-firing speakers provide excellent imaging while localizing voices from the screen. RCA's sound logic audio leveler eliminates annoying blasts of sound during commercial breaks while amplifying soft sounds to normal listening levels. RCA's F36665 comes with an ergonomic illuminated remote control that completely operates the F36665. It also controls the functions of virtually every brand of VCRs, cable boxes, and RCA's DIRECTV. The remote operates most functions of RCA DVD players and select functions of some audio components. Frequently used buttons glow in the dark, making it easy to find the correct functions at night. The F36665 includes the GUIDE Plus+ interactive program guide, a built-in feature that provides an instant summary of your favorite TV shows at the touch of a button. The two-day Guide also allows you to view listings up to 48 hours in advance and delivers the capability for one-touch tuning and VCR recording with the press of a button. Parental V-chip control is included, so that viewers may block unwanted programs. RCA covers the F36665 with a warranty of 1 year for parts (2 years for the picture tube) and 90 days for labor.
