Summary: The Simpsons At Its Prime
Review: Whatever anybody says, The Simpsons was the greatest show on television when season three came out. However, after the first several seasons, one could start to notice the downfall of the delightful sitcom. No offense, but I believe that the newer episodes are stupid. I think that they should throw in the towel and call it a day. You can tell they are running out of ideas.
Now to season three. This is the Simpsons at its prime, no matter what anyone else says. Who can forget such memorable episodes such as Stark Raving Dad( With Michael Jackson), Homer At The Bat, Flaming Moe's, Seperate Vocations, and Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes. As soon as this DVD comes out, I urge every Simpsons fan to rush out and get it. Because it doesn't get any better than this.

Summary: WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG ?!?!?!?!
Review: Me again, here to refresh your memory. Way back in 2001 we were told by Fox and Amazon that the First Season was due out that summer and that the Second Season would be out by Christmas of that year with 2 to 3 seasons to be released each year. The First Season came out in September 2001. Number 2 was not out at Christmas but was origianlly due for May 2002, then Amazon bumped it back to June, then July then finally August. Nearly a year after the first Season (You'll notice Amazon has stopped showing the release date of these sets). Here we are 2 years later and the 3rd season has yet to be released. Again I ask, why is this taking so long? At this rate it will take until 2012 or so for this year's episodes to be on DVD...no kidding. 14 seasons...one released every 11 months. Surely the delay is not for the features-- Oooh...spinning heads and sparse commentary. And why are some episodes edited? And why not include the Spanish track for our Spanish speaking friends. As I understand it they are quite hilarious in both languages. They've obviously been recorded...why not just toss in the extra audio track? Yes, I know some of you aren't happy at any criticism of this show but I say all of this as a loyal fan. Making a list of the episodes is not a 'review' and neither is saying 'Simpsons is the best show ever...yaaaay DVD!!' Please stop being a knee-jerk fan and praising these simply because they are on DVD-- being on DVD is not merit itself for greatness. The shows are brilliant, we all agree on that, but these DVD's are not. These collections are waaaay below par and are hardly deserved of the longest running cartoon in history as well as one of the most loved TV shows ever.

Review: The third season of 'The Simpsons', packed with memoriable episodes (eg. 'Stark Raving Dad', 'Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington', 'Homer at the Bat', and 'The Otto Show'). The humour in this is so witty, and this is the season where they finally get the voices, sounds, colour, charecters, jokes etc. right and is a season you have to buy. Thanks to Bart leaving his lucky red hat in the load of washed white shirts, Homer wears a pink shirt to the nuclear power plant. He is promptly committed to a mental institution, where he meets up with a white man (Leon Kompowski) who walks and talks like Michael Jackson.

Krusty finally drops by to have dinner with the Simpsons to thank Bart for believing him (see Krusty Gets Busted), and drops a bombshell: He real name is Krustofsky, and he is estranged from his rabbi father, who disowned him when Krusty decided to be a clown instead of a rabbi. Now, Bart vows to reunite Klown and rabbi.

Summary: Still some bugs to work out.
Review: Although I am very pleased that the third season will soon be here,there were just a couple of things I was not happy with on the release of season I & II. I was not to crazy about having to enter the menu button three times to get to the play eppisode function.Also it would be nice to be able to toggle the music off at the title screen.(kind of annoying when your watching them late night and are trying not to disturb your wife sleeping next to you).And would it kill the good people at FOX to allow the user the abbility to play all the eppisodes from each dvd in succecsion with one another?After all,when I want to get my fix of The Simpsons I want to watch all of them uninterupted.(one eppisode at a time dosen't cut it in my book)

Review: I can't wait for the Simpsons Season 3 DVD. There are plenty episodes I haven't seen yet. The best thing of these DVDs is that we can see the original cuts of the episodes (instead of those butchered syndication versions that we see on WB). There is one big question when it comes to the Season 4 DVD: Will the original version of Marge Gets A Job be there (yes, complete with Tourette's Syndrome and "Shove It!"), or will FOX soup up the "rabies" cut that aired in reruns before syndication.

Review: I wrote a review on this DVD set a couple of months back titled "An Educated Guess" for a release date, but I have some new news. I just read an interview with Peter Staddon of 20th Century Fox. He is ahead of the marketing and issuing department. He said in an interview that The Simpsons 3rd Season DVD collection will be released in May of 2003. I know this is kind of a disappointment to some of us die hard simpsons fans, but it will come faster than we think, and it is going to be well worth it. The first and second seasons were wonderful. I still watch both of them a lot. I really enjoy them. But I know that they aren't even compared to the next 8 or so seasons that will be released over the next few years. The Simpsons DVD Zineth is about to begin.

Review: What is a good Simpson's junkie to do? You have finished watching season 1, and season 2, and you ask the question, where is season 3? Season three is masterful and includes, in one show, the voice of Daryl Strawberry. How can you go wrong with the much adored/hated could have been great ex-superstar Daryl Strawberry? That alone should make you buy this DVD whenever it comes out, but seriously, the guest voices on this season are tremendous and include: Aerosmith, Michael Jackson "The King of Pop" (we have to call him that, it is in his contract with MTV), Sting, Doogie Houser, and others. Summary: Series Hits Its Stride
Review: From John Jay Smith, to Spinal Tap, this is where "The Simpsons" really takes off. To me the classic Cheers/Aerosmith episode ("Hello St. Louis!") I considered the best episode to date at the time. This season is where it started to be the greatest satirical series on TV EVER.Period. End of Story. Anyone who disagrees belongs in the funny farm with Homer and leon in the first episode.

Review: well right now its 10 days before christmas and i am still hoping that season 3 will be out soon...i was a little behind and purchased season 2 about 2 weeks ago and i am getting season one for christmas.. well on to season 3 dvd..
looking at some of the 24 episodes that will be on this DVD.. i would have to say MY 2 favourite from this season (if not the whole series) are Homer and the Bat and Flaming moes.... these are just classic episodes that i have seen soo many times and never get tired of.... btw the softball song is great!!!..... i would purchase this DVD just for those 2 episodes.... this season is just the start of a great series... the last couple of seasons i havent watched but i am sure they are still good laters :)

Review: The best thing about these DVDs is you can watch them over and over again... Love all the 3rd season episodes - they get sharper and smoother and the characters start coming together nicely.
