Summary: BEAVER! BEAVER! BEAVER! BEAVER! BEAVER! BEAVER!
Review: What can you say that hasn't already been said? As the Hershey bar commercial from the late 80's used to say: "One of the all-time greats!" Gotta have it!

Summary: I Can't Wait for This to be Released!
Review: "Leave it to Beaver" is one of my all-time favorite shows. It will be great to have this series on dvd. I would certainly be a customer for each and every season that is released on dvd. What a pleasure it will be to watch this show complete and uncut. Long live the Cleavers!

Summary: Beautifully and comically written
Review: Anyone who watches the early seasons of this show is in for a surprise if they think that it was some awful, saccharin show from the Eisenhower years. "Leave it to Beaver" had wonderful scripts, full of sincere familial/fraternal tenderness, sly and clever humor (the Eddie Haskel character was sleaziness incarnate), and high production values. These shows remain entertaining forty-five years after they were made. They adhered to good moral standards and their lessons are still valid for today. I wondered why the show never made it to DVD despite lesser shows doing so. I will be one of the first ones to buy this boxed set. I hope that it has plenty of extras, like the pilot that features different actors.

Summary: Gotta have The Beav on DVD
Review: I sure hope the first, second, and third season of Leave it to Beaver is put on DVD. I can remember watching this show over and over on rerun and I still do on TV Land but I would sure love to own the series on DVD and watch it at my leisure. Sure was a simpler time and it is nice to look back at those characters and relate some of their antics to my own life. Lots of fun and good family entertainment. It would be a winner. Thanks

Summary: One of My All-Time Favorites
Review: I was so pleased to see a match returned at Amazon upon keying in "Leave it to Beaver"...but hopes were quickly dashed upon seeing a "studio is not currently producing this title" message.

Hopefully this will be rectified soon, as "Leave it to Beaver" is one of those rare shows that I never seem to tire of, even though each episode has been viewed so many times that dialogue can be quoted.

The show is far from perfect. Some may argue that it paints an ideal and unrealistic picture of family life. The character of Ward became a bit too stereotypical and unbending during the show's fifth season, and Tony Dow comes across as somewhat stiff and uncomfortable in the role of Wally at times. In spite of the shortcomings, though, the characters were very likeable/believeable, and scripts were consistently well written for the most part..always a pleasant and gentle way to spend a half hour. And, hey, there's Eddie Haskell--what more needs to be said?

This series deserves to make it to DVD, hopefully there will be a release in the months to come.

"Hey, kid! What are you doin' up there, takin' a bath?!"

Summary: A REAL CLASSIC
Review: I WISH THIS WAS ON DVD NOW. I LOVE THIS SHOW. EVEN AS AN ADULT I STILL LOVE IT. I STILL WATCH IT ON TV LAND EACH DAY. SHOWS ARE SO LOST THESE DAYS FROM LONG AGO. IT BRINGS BACK MEMORIES WHEN I WAS YOUNGER SEEING LEAVE IT TO BEAVER WHEN HE WAS REAL YOUNG AND AS HE GOT OLDER IN THE SHOWS.

Summary: Just plain fun
Review: I'm a 34 y/o dad, who actually never saw Leave it To Beaver until they started showing it on TV Land. My favorite shows growing up were The Brady Bunch (re-runs), Happy Day's, Three's Company, etc. So it was areal surprise for me when I decided to watch a little show called Leave it to Beaver, and actually liking it a lot. Yes, yes people complain on how June is always so well dressed for a stay at home mom, or how Ward sits down to dinner, at home mind you, with a tie and jacket, but my wife and I just find that part of the charm of the show. Remember it's just a show, it's there to entertain. To tell you the truth, we find ourselves laughing harder with LITB then with most of the TV sitcoms out there today.
So yes we are eager to buy the box set of LITB. We would be happy to welcome Wally, Beav hell we'll even welcome Lumpy and Eddie ( our favorite bye the way).

Summary: So Goody-Goody, That It's Classic! Now Release It To DVD!
Review: Okay take a look at this! Andy Griffith, Brady Bunch, The Simpsons, Gilligan's Island, The Jetsons, Diff'rent Strokes, Will & Grace, Sanford & Son, Friends, Golden Girls, Jem, Little House On the Prairie, Wonder Woman, Dukes Of Hazzard, The Munsters, Green Acres, Three's Company, The Wayans Brothers, In Living Color, All In The Family, Dick Van Dyke Show, Top Cat, The A-Team, Seinfeld, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Boy Meets World, The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy, Jamie Foxx Show, Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Full House, Home Improvement, Mork & Mindy, ALF, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Taxi, Frasier, Cheers, Married With Children, Mad About You, Ellen, Good Times, The Flintstones, M*A*S*H*...C'mon!! Every single one of these other "classic" shows is out on DVD. A lot of these are great shows on the same level as Leave It To Beaver, but some of these other turkeys that made it to DVD first...ALF? The Golden Girls? Good Times? Jem, for crying out loud?! I would much rather see a set of DVD's with Beaver, Wally, Eddie, Larry Mondello, creepy Judy Hensler and the rest of the Mayfield gang than half of these that are just collecting dust on the [...] shelves!

Summary: I beg you, RELEASE IT NOW!!
Review: So maybe I'm a bit of a nerd to get upset with TVLand when they have their marathon weekends and I have to miss out on the Beav. But enough already! So I can't watch it on television most weekends anymore . . . I NEED the DVD.

"Leave it to Beaver" is really the only program on television I have ever faithfully watched, and with much amusement too I have to say. I'm only 29 and society says I should be watching "Friends"....but what do they know? I think that kids should be forced to watch "Leave it to Beaver" in the classroom! I can't think of a better example of kids learning good values, learning to be conscientious and learning from their mistakes.

And for the record, to the person down below, I happen to be one of the farthest Americans from the "far right" as one can possibly be. My love for the Beav has nothing to do with my extreme liberalism and I doubt it does for many other people either.

I can't wait!!
