Summary: an old show i use to watch in the 70's
Review: i got it but not pleased. the piture quality and sound was not that great. outside in the open. especially by there cave. the people looked like cut outs. some of the film was not restored. my favorite was when they visit the lost city and the ending song. which i forgot.

Summary: Land of the Lost
Review: I loved the Land of the Lost as a kid. After watching the first season again on DVD it brought back so many memories. I am 35 years old and my 6 year old watched the first season with me. We couldn't wait to see the second season and now we are waiting for the third to come out. My little girl just loves the show. Watching her watch these shows is like watching myself all over again on Saturdays. It had to be the best show on television in the 70's! The special features on this DVD was great too! Getting to see the original cast all grown up was an experience. It is great to see a good quality programming again. Now, I can leave the room and not worry about what my daughter is watching, because it is usually the Land of the Lost!

Review: I loved this show when I was a kid. I watched it every Saturday morning.
My favorite character was Chaka. To this day, I can't stick my hand into fire without saying, "Chaka no like fire!"

Summary: Sleestaks rule!
Review: I was always wondering what happened to the Land of the Lost. I saw it at the store one day and I said "holy cow"(clean version) I have to get it. I couldn't believe it because I was hoping they would have reruns on tv but they never did. I thought it would be great for my son who just turned 6 because he loves dinos. My son is hooked. We spent a whole day and watched everyone from season 1. My son wants more and so do I. I forgot how korny this show was and how bad the effects are. But I don't care. Krofft Superstars thanks for putting this on dvd!

Summary: Read this for a different viewpoint
Review: I'm another of the many that loved Land of the Lost as a kid. But I don't think it stands the test of time the way, for example, the Peanuts holiday specials do.
Obviously, Land of the Lost has many fans who disagree with me, and you may be one of them, and that's fine. All I'm saying is that before you spend your hard-earned money on this DVD box set, RENT the first disc and see if this show is as endearing to you as an adult as you remember it. You may decide to buy the set anyway, in which case you're out an extra $4 but are making a more-informed decision. Or, your $4 investment on a rental may save you from spending a lot more on a set that you might regret buying.

Summary: The ultimate Land of the Lost set?
Review: It's a three-disc set containing all the episodes of the first season. That's reason enough to get excited, but Rhino is apparently giving this the star treatment. Extras will include interviews and commentaries by writers (D.C. Fontana, Walter Koenig, Larry Niven, David Gerrold) and actors (Wesley Eure, Kathy Coleman, Philip Paley.) Gerrold tells how the series was created, the underlying plan, and even discusses an episode that was never filmed, "The Littlest Sleestak."

Summary: Holds up better than expected
Review: Out of apprehensive curiosity, I rented all 3 DVDs in this set, and was pleased to find that the series is just as enjoyable now as it was back in the 70's. This was the only Sid and Marty Krofft show that I could sit through when I was a kid. Yes, the special effects are cheesy and quite reminiscent of Dr. Who, and certain sequences are repeated ad nauseum. But the interesting sci-fi stories more than make up for that.
Once nice feature of the DVD is that you can skip the opening credits, which I never could stand.
I definitely plan to get the first two seasons. Season two was the best, with some of the greatest writing. Unfortunately, the show seriously tanked after Rick Marshall left and Cha-Ka became an unavoidable presence.

Summary: Old time fan? You will love this
Review: This set gives us "old folks" the nostalgia we've been waiting for. It took me only 2 days to view this DVD set and let me tell you, it brings back the memories.
Alhtough the series FX seem "cheesy", they still don't hamper the rememberance of the episodes. Those of us that grew up with it will see through it. My 8-year old son loves it and wants more.
This series will always have a place in my family and I recommend it to yours because, yes it was somewhat scary in it's time but they use some good morals that still hold water to this day.
I recommend this DVD to all "old school" LOTL fans.

Summary: The World of Sid & Marty Krofft
Review: This was my favorite Saturday Morning show when I was in grade school. Sid & Marty Krofft were 30 years ahead of their time in so many areas and the fact this show could pass for being made today is proof of this. For the parents of today looking for good entertainment for the tots that is not overloaded with violence I recommend this DVD Collection as well as ANYTHING with the KROFFT productions logo. Sigmund the Sea Monster ranks #2 after Land of the Lost.
