Summary: All or nothing!
Review: Charlie's Angels released some [not very good] "Best of" stuff before they finally got around to releasing a full season one box set. The fans of series as old as these are usually deeply devoted and deserve something better than a four-episode set. If the review below is accurate and the studio is simply testing the waters with a one-disc release, I will not be wasting my money. But if they have the sense to release a Season One set (which, after all, is only a little more than a dozen episodes), I'll be the first in line.

Review: I have been a huge fan of Lynda Carter and the Wonder Woman shows for many years! It's about time they release them on DVD. I also want to see some of my other favorite 70's Heros on DVD. Where is "The Six Millon $ Man" and "Bionic Woman"?? The kids of the 70's need to unite and bring our Heros back to DVD and TV where they belong!!

Summary: There is only one Wonder Woman
Review: Back in the 1970s, only 3 things are well remembered by me on the small screen: The Bionic Woman, Charlie Angels and Wonder Woman. Columbia Classics (US) last year release a pretty complete series of the classic BUT only on VHS. Good news and bad news: It's finally here but the release seems to be limited in quantity. Needless to say, Wonder Woman is a very different kind of superhero: one with compassion for humam kind, strength and weakness. She is truly the only female hero in the sea of comic hero that still make its presence felt (Other than the upcoming Supergirl). The pilot episodes basically described how WW came to earth via the Captain and how she fight for truth & justice in her satin tights, lasso and bracelets. Lynda Carter was PERFECT for the role. All said...WHEN IS THE DVD COMING??? (Afterall, let's face it, VHS can't last forever).

Review: When is this television classic coming to DVD? Hopefully soon we can see the amazing amazon in action. At the current state of our country's patriotism, releasing "Wonder Woman" on DVD couldn't happen at a better time.

Summary: A DVD Filled With Wonder
Review: Back in the 70s, Warner Bros. decided to bring the DC Comics super heroine Wonder Woman to the small screen in the hopes of establishing a competative show with the Universal television series the Bionic Woman. The first attempt failed miseribly. A Wonder Woman television movie starring Cathy Lee Crosby aired without any of the trademark airs of the comic. Not only was she blonde, wore a jump suit and didn't deflect bullets; but her other super human abilites didn't exist either. Other than being an Amazon Princess from Paradise Island, Wonder Woman was basically an athletic Charlie's Angel. Seeing the folly of their mistakes, Warner Bros. relaunched the series staring Miss World USA: Lynda Carter. Not only did Lynda come through with all the missing airs of the character, but she captured the essence of what it ment to be an icon. In this, the Pilot of the relaunched 'New Adventures of Wonder Woman', Princess Diana discovers a downed pilot (Steve Trevor) on the shores of her island home. When a contest is held to see which Amazon will be worthy enough to escort the stranger to America, Diana enters and wins the honor of becoming Wonder Woman. Words can't express how much I enjoyed this episode. It's filled with lots of action, humor and heart as only the eternally beautiful Lynda Carter can capture. Columbia House initially released the series a few years ago on video tape. The picture quality was the best I have ever seen. Now finding a DVD product page on Amazon.com makes me beleive that the same quality of film may be used to bring the Amazing Amazon into a new foray of modern media. Hopefully, in keeping with the times, we may even be lucky enough to see some rare bonus items on the DVD release such as actor interviews, behind the scenes footage, original promotional commercials, bloopers, and other such trivia fans of the genre are just so eager to see.

Review: i would buy this instantly. Lynda Carter won for best tv superhero on tv land awards in 2004 and she even spun around and turned into Wonder Woman. I was so excited today when i head it was coming to DVD. I bought FRIENDS now onto WONDER WOMAN. if only they did OUT OF THIS WORLD, FULL HOUSE AND SABRINA THE TEEN AGED WITCH i wouldn't be watching tv any more. Hopefully they'll do ALL THE SEASONS OF WONDER WOMAN

Summary: A Fun Beginning
Review: With the entire world at war, freedom needs a special power on its side to prevail. Fortunately, the war has attracted the attention of the Amazons on Paradise Island. Venturing off, Princess Diana (Lynda Carter) travels to the USA to join the fight of the Allies along side Major Steve Trevor (Lyle Waggoner). Constantly called on to help, Wonder Woman must use her super strength, bullet stopping bracelets, and unbreakable lasso of truth to stop the Nazis from taking over the world. I was a little too young to watch this show when it was first on, but I've found reruns and grown to love it. Yes, it has a certain cheese factor, but it's fun. Lynda Carter is wonderful as our heroine. I honestly can't picture anyone else in the roll. And Lyle Waggoner is great as the sidekick. While some of the special effects are cheesy, others hold up remarkable well today. Unfortunately, the first season isn't quite as good as the season that followed. Set in World War II, it seems cheesier then most. Part of it is the over abundance of the camp factor. And part of it is the dialog is rather poor at times. This is especially true when Wonder Woman/Diana Prince is given "women power" lines. The lectures just don't come off well. Still, there is stuff to enjoy here, and the guest stars are impressive. They include Cloris Leachman, Red Buttons, Robert Reed, Dick van Patten, Debra Winger in her first credited roll, and Roy Rogers. Any fan of Wonder Woman will love this set. It contains the extended pilot plus all 13 episodes for the first season. These are all the World War II era episodes. The episodes are spread out over 3 double-sided discs. The picture (original full screen) looks sharp most of the time. The stock footage from the 40's looks worse then the rest, but it's not on for very long. The audio is 2.0 mono, which won't blow you away but certainly gets the job done. The bonus features consist of an uneven but mostly interesting commentary by Lynda Carter and Executive Producer Douglas S. Cramer on the pilot and a new 20 minute documentary on the creation of the series. This isn't my favorite season of the show, but there are still some entertaining episodes here. It's interesting to watch the development of the TV show, and you certainly can't beat the price. Bring on season 2!

Summary: Just as good as you remember
Review: As a young girl, I was a HUGE Wonder Woman fan. I saw every single episode, even re-runs. The DVDs aren't disappointing - they are just as wonderful as I remember. It's also great to pick-up details I've forgotten. I great way to inspire the young girls in your life now to be the hero in their own lives, saving themselves rather than waiting for Prince Charming. The interviews and new documentary are a great way to catch up. Totally awesome all around.

Review: This DVD set has brought back sooo many great childhood memories. I just love this show. It's got great morals and such a strong female lead! Lynda Carter was just teriffic as the comic book character and the scenes that take place at her home on Paradise Island are my favorite. The DVD also has GREAT extras with audio commentary by Lynda on the pilot and also a fantastic featurette on the character of Wonder Woman. Anyone who loved it as a kid will love it even more as an adult. I can't wait to get SEASON 2!!!!!
