Summary: A Disappointment After Seasons One and Two
Review: I grew up watching "Little House" first-run on NBC. I also watched re-runs with parts chopped out of them for years, and always hoped that someday I could purchase them uncut. The first two seasons on DVD were excellent; it was like watching a different show than what you see now in the syndicated versions (and on the videos produced by Goodtimes, I might add!) I was so excited!
When Season 3 came out I expected the same uncut shows. Except for only a few, these episodes are exactly like the ones shown in syndication, with scenes and lines of dialogue missing, so I am quite disappointed. I would much rather have had the missing scenes than the opening music and scene indexes for every show. I will wait until I see some reviews for Season 4 before I buy it.

Summary: Happy about the simple innocence.
Review: I had watched some Little House years ago and liked it OK. Then 4 months ago we got the first 3 seasons for our 7 year old twins. What a great investment. They love it and my wife and I love it.

This is a show about love, hard work, care and concern for others, family values and innocence. That is why this show wouldn't last 2 days on Television today. Who wants to be reminded of how far we have fallen from qualities such as these.

Compare shows like this from the 70's to shows that we have now. Television has always been a reflection of society. Most of the shows today are about having it all, sex, greed and win at all costs no matter who gats in the way. What a difference from just a few decades ago.

Now I am sure of why my family is enjoying Little House on the Prairie so much...it's a breath of fresh air in a smog filled world. I would highly recommend any family to own these DVDs. Looking forward to season-4.

Summary: Season 3
Review: I have enjoyed all the little house DVD's but it seems like they are missing some of the shows I thought this was for the whole season, but "The Race" should have had a show before it. What happened, in Series 2 Laura bought her mom a stove for Christmas in exchange gave Nellie her horse, bunny, now in the Race she has bunny back. Didn't Nellie get in an accident on Bunny and fake paralyzed so then Mr. Olsen gave Laura back the horse or something. What happened to that show?

Summary: A Few problems
Review: I haven't bought this season yet but I have been reading reviews about certain episodes. Someone said Albert joined the cast in season three when if I remembered right didnt happen untill the Ingalls went to Dakota terriorty which would be season 5, the same with the epiisode in which Mary's baby dies in a fire. Since she didnt go blind until the end of season four and the fire was at the blind school this couldnt have been season three.

Summary: Subtitles
Review: I know season 1 doesn't have subtitles,I don't think that the rest of the seasons have subtitles. But besides that it's a good
show.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I loved reading the "Little House" books when I was a child, as well as growing up watching the series. I got seasons 1, 2 and 3 for Christmas this year and have absolutely LOVED watching them. I agree with a couple of other reviews - yes there are a couple of things missing, and the "Race" and "Bunny" were flipped according to the story line. (In the race Mr. Oleson talks about Nellie faking her injury and giving the horse back to Laura, but in the next episode that hasn't happened yet. This was the order on the DVD). But it didn't get me upset like it did another person who reviewed this. Something like that didn't make me lose perspective of my love for the show and the values it represents. Yes, there were also episodes on 1, 2 and 3 that "jumped" a little, and this is probably due to age. I think they are reasonably priced and worth every cent. I can't wait until Season 4 (February 17th I think?) and the rest. Watching these DVDs this holiday season has just been wonderful. --- newslady77@aol.com

Summary: OUt of Order
Review: I used to watch Little House as a child and was glad to finally relive some of those memories on DVD. I don't recall scenes so couldn't say if any have been cut, but I was disappointed "The Race" and "Bunny" were out of order. Watching the race, it felt like I had missed something, or at the very least forgotten something from season two, but then "Bunny" assured me I hadn't missed a thing. The editing should have been better in that regard.
