Summary: The Ingalls meet Alvin and the Chipmunks
Review: LHOTP is a great show. Much better than the trash they make for tv today. If you've never seen the show or you have kids that have never seen it, buy it. However....

if you grew up with the show, you may be very disappointed. The voices are too high. They don't sound like you remember them. I'm enjoying watching the shows with my daughters who have never seen them, but the sound coming from the characters' mouths is a constant reminder that these DVDs are messed up.

Summary: Little House Good Family Fun!
Review: Little House is the Best Show Ever!
Wow at last I can watch those kids run through that field over and over again with out waiting for re-runs! A place where it's always an innocent sunny day filled with
lessons about doll making and dress sewing! When going to school meant dealing with the pranks of Nellie Olsen instead of being capped by gangs! Golly gee! Here
is irrefrutable proof that everything will be available on DVD and that the most sickingly sweet, mind numbing shows will forever entertain the feeble minded! No
there is a thought..or lack of..put a disc in I ready for the pretty praire again! How nice to see that Praire fans get write reviews instead chat room talk with other loonies! I am just a lil fanatic!

Summary: Listen up!!!
Review: Think about the wilderness. I'm talking about the trees, the rocks, the sun, and the soil under your feet. Do you like to smell the fresh flowers when they pop up in the spring, or die in the fall. Either way, you would be happy watching this show. This film includes all the seasons. If you have a quiet movie night with your family, or a loud one, this is perfect for you!!! Everyone loves this show, do you want to be left out??? Of course not

Summary: Thrilled a new generation can see this series!
Review: We are thrilled we can sit together as a family and share the L.H.O.T.P with our children.
A favorite from my childhood and even better viewed as an adult.
Michael Landon was the greatest director. The continuity in every episode makes you believe this family was truly living in this little house. In one of the first episodes, Caroline was sitting at the dinning table braiding material for a rug. A few episodes later, she was still working on the rug. This time sewing the long braids of material she had been braiding, into a rug.
Michael Landon had morals. He believed in God. He believed in hard work and working for what you have. This series is filled with life lessons. It is so great for the kids of this generation to see.

The quality of the D.V.D's have been fine. Just one spot on disc 3 had some pixel things going on. Just for a few minutes though.
Their are no primetime television shows on the air that you can sit as a family and watch together. I am so glad we have something to gather the kids around and watch together!

Summary: Adjust your Contrast Settings!
Review: I was reading these reviews before purchasing and was especially interested in the ones voicing complaints about the colors - such as extra bright whites. Since the overal reviews from people were full of praise, and since my girlfriend has the set with no complaints, I went ahead and purchased it, holding my breath.

Well, on my TV the color is perfectly beautiful! So, why not start out with adjusting your contrast setting! Different TVs display things differently. Another DVD of mine that looks just fine on my TV (which is about five years old) looks absolutely bizarre on my girlfriend's TV (the picture is slightly distorted and the colors are flat.)

There were also some comments about the voices on these DVDs. I do admit, that in one episode, Micheal Landon's voice does seem *weird* in a couple of scenes, but other than that, everything is just beautiful.

This is an excellent collection for LHOP fans, and in intend on buying each season as finances allow. Great for the kids - and great fun for us adults.

I do not like to watch the post modern cynicism of today; give me some good old fashioned idealism anytime! I grew up wishing Charles Ingalls was MY "Pa" and I mourned and cried and was very upset with the passing of Michael Landon. It is so nice to have him back in my living room again (We don't have Cable TV or local service, so I don't get to see the syndicated episodes at all)

Summary: It's about time...
Review: For years, we've waited for the Little House on the Prairie series to come out with sequential episodes! It's finally happened, and from the people that I know... it's selling like hotcakes!

It's about time that they released this series on DVD. It's not very often you can find a good, solid, family-oriented TV series on DVD. Most others, there's always a little something that needs to be "shielded" from the eyes and ears of children. But not so with this series.

A great series to be sure, and you can count on me buying every single one of the series as they are released. A must-see!

Summary: Finally, Uncut After Years in Syndication!
Review: I am really impressed with the quality of these DVDs! Best of all, they do not have scenes and lines of dialogue chopped out like when they are shown in syndication (and on the Goodtimes videos).
I grew up watching the shows, and these have the all the scenes that I remember. It's been so long since I've seen them uncut, though, these DVDs are like watching a new show!

Summary: A Little House Review
Review: I first heard about this "Little house" Buisness in Grade 5, when our teacher read Book 1 of Little House. From there I watched the Tv show. When I heard they were coming out with Little House Season 1 I wanted it so bad! I was excited to see how it all began since I was only watching certain episodes. I got it for Christmas 2003! My favorate Episodes are:A harvest of friends, Country girls, love of Johnny johnson, Town party-Country party, Ma's holiday, School mom, The Racoon, The award, and Christmas at palm creek. I havent watched all of the episodes because well....nevermind. Anyhow I love this DVd of The classic "Little House on the prarie"! Season 2 and above will be cool..I think.

Summary: Great! Excellent!! Fantastic!!!
Review: Dear Amazon shopper,
I am a Little House on the Prairie fan. I enjoy this season everyday.
When i was told about this film [from my mom] she said i would love it. Showing all the true personalitys of each character really brings out Laura Ingalls Wilders life style. When i realized that there was a series of wilders treasures [ i only knew about the book series]i told my mom to get them. It is a must to watch this. Also think about the two other series. Enjoy these videos, and try to pass them down generation to generation, it will be a sweet treat for you whole family

~Little House on the Prairie's #1 fan!~

Summary: Invention of tradition
Review: This show is great, even for other world-citizens besides the Americans. Altough the whole show is actually upgraded with a lot of romanticism it will present to the viewer a period of rest, honesty and courage people who cares for each other. Moreover it behold a good and positiv morality. Although it is an example of Invention of tradition, it shows a part of the American dreams and roots which is missing in Europe!
I hope the DVD will be subtitled in the future with Dutch language.
