I can't wait to laugh my ass off all over again.....dvd style!

If you haven't seen it before, you just don't know what your missing out on!

Summary: Timeless!
Review: Man.This show is just as funny and relevant today as it was then.I dont understand why a reviewer would complain that they had too many jokes were about being black, since the show is made up of predominantly black comedians! What do you want them to make fun of?This show is great. The fly girls are hot!It doesnt matter if youre black or white. You will laugh your (...) off.

Review: NOT AS FUNNY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE<br />I bought this dvd set being a fan of the show when it was on tv years ago.I was really looking forward to watching this set as soon as I recieved it, and was very dissapointed,it was not very funny at all! a few sketches were kinda funny but otherwise I was not very happy with this set at all. I would reccomend saving your money and get season 2 or wait for a season 3 when the show was alot funnier!

Summary: Well it is about time...!!!!
Review: One of the greatest shows ever created has been finally put on DVD. Even though I was young when this series came out in the early 90's i still remember and enjoy it the same. After watching the entire 1st season, it reminds me why I like the show so much. Skits like Men on film, art, and books, homey the clown, and anton jackson are so cutting edge. Even some of the things they said shocked me so I know they were shocking 15 yrs ago. I absolutely love Kim Wayans. I wish she did more things I also loved her on In the House. I had no idea that the mother on the disney show, "That's so Raven" got her start on I.L.C. Although the Wayans, David Alan Grier, Jim Carrey, and Tommy Davidson are funny I wish I could have seen more of Kim Coles, or Synclaire, more on the show. (That's another show that should follow suit, Living Single). I even loved the Fly Girls, Dedra and Lisa were my favorite. From the cutting edge jokes, to the "Two snaps up" from Antoine Merriweather is pure classic. I love this season and I can't wait for the rest. Fave skits: Men On...., Homey the Clown, Anton, Grace Jones, Endangered Species, the Hedleys with all the jobs, Oprah, and Andrea dice clay!

Summary: I can make a bugger talk
Review: In Living Color was a cable version of Saturday Night Live, and helped launch one Jim Carey. It also helped David Alan Grier and Tommy Davidson gain recognition, and Damon Waynes career really took off after the first few seasons (1990-1992).

"Are you a real clown?"
"No, I'm your Daddy, he's the clown."

Keenen Ivory Waynes was already well known for his work in: I'm Gonna get you Sucker, For Love and Honor, and Hollywood Shuffle. He provided a launching pad for his family, and other talented actors (Carey, Grier, and Davidson).

"Two snaps and a circle"

Though it was taken off the air in 1994, you can see similar spin-offs in today's Mad TV, which almost seems like they should pay the Waynes copy rights. In living Color was more risky with it's comedy, and held little back in terms of racist jokes, political jokes, etc. etc. This really opened things up for even Saturday Night Live.

"Dang, I thought I flushed the toilet."

This is definitely a must have in your DVD collection. I revolutionary comedy that opened doors for shows like Mad TV and the Chapelle show. Each episode is a delight to watch. Actually, I am still amazed how SW1 (Shawn Waynes) looked in 1990 like Marolon Waynes looks now. Nevertheless, this is a very good box set to have!

Summary: Way ahead of its time
Review: if you've seen the original episodes, or if you haven't this is a must have for the comedy section of your dvd collection. There were a couple of skits that i had forgotten about and i again laughed out loud, even skits that i remember were still funny and fresh.
It was amazing to me at how many of the phrases in the first season episodes, my friends and i use when speaking to each other today.
Pick this up immediately.

Summary: How can you give it less than 5 stars??
Review: I purchased this the week it came out, and it is hilarious! The Wayan's brothers are comedic geniuses and the actors were top notch (Jim Carrey and others). This season has "Homey the Clown", "Men on Films" and the fly girls... I mean, who can forget the famous phrase "Homey don't play that!". A must buy :-)

Summary: Groundbreaking Vintage 90's Humor!
Review: Homey the Clown, "3 Snaps Up...HATED IT!!!

We forget just how affective "In Living Color" was during it's time. Keenen Ivory Wayans and co. were true visionaries; blending(at that time)the relatively new Hip-Hop culture craze with original humor. The sketches were down-right edgy but oh so funny!

You should know in advance that Jamie Foxx as well as J.Lo. were not apart of the cast during the 1st season. This DVD is great to pull out when a bunch of friends come over to visit. I'm looking forward to purchasing Season 2.
