Summary: awesome show... too bad it is the last one...
Review: for all the xena fans out there, this one of those that you got to have... although the ending might not be the one we wanted but it looks like there will be a spinoff for our gabrielle... you will enjoy the movie and pay attention to the commentaries...

Summary: FIN is the FINale!
Review: Perhaps the most controversial and talked about Xena episode, this finale left fans divided and outraged. You either loved it or loathed it, unless your me who liked it but didn't think it was in top "Xena" form. The most fun on this DVD, in my opinion, is the running commentary by producer and director Rob Tapert, the flawless Ms. Lucy Lawless, and new mama Renee O'Connor. The fun never stops listening to these three discuss their insights, short-comings, goals, and wicked senses of humor.

While the plot may be out of left field (and a pop fly for many), I feel the cinematography is beautiful. Special kudos to the costumers for their vivid use colors.

One thing's for sure...this show went out with a bang - a BIG bang!

I'd recommend seeing it before buying it.

Summary: Only because I couldn't give it NO stars....
Review: The question is - after avidly tuning in for six seasons (not NEARLY enough!), buying the memorabilia, making excellent friends united by a common passion for this show....why did Mr Tapert feel a need to spit in the face of the fans in such a shameful manner?

It doesnt make for great drama - it makes for VERY large numbers of VERY unhappy people. I - for one- have no interest in anything Tapert and his cronies do in the future..what is the point in getting interested in a character when there are good odds that she will end up being killed and mutilated in the most sickening manner possible?

I understand there have been apologies....too little, too late. The wilful cruelty leaves me cold and shaken.

Don't give credance to this ending by buying it.

FIN does not exist.

Summary: Not Upto Standards
Review: I just have a few things to say and that's all....first off if you're a new Xenite...this dvd is NOT (I repeat) NOT for you...the subject matter will be way over your head.Second,I have been a Xenite for fiveseasons...and the quality of their shows (together with the computerizedspecial effects) has been such that this dvd was a very big dissappointment.....what is a great scene if the lighting is so poor youcan't see anything without getting up close and personal with your tv?

Summary: Xena For All
Review: If you are a long time fan or want to find out what all the noise was about...this is the DVD for you. I would have simply bought the VHS , but after having seen this version at a friend's house I went out and bought a DVD player ... well, actually a Playstation 2 ;-) ! The option to watch this epidsode along with the director and actors and hear their commentary is AMAZING ! Kinda of like watching MST3 with Rob , Lucy & Renee standing in for Joel and The Bots. Very edifying and funny too.

Summary: Great Ending
Review: Quite a surprising ending to a very successful show. I was rather disappointed that the show was canceled. Anyway, the finale was great. Packed with tons of explosive action sequences, a pretty decent plot involving redemption (which is a theme I like very much), and an emotional and shocking climax. A great conclusion to a great series.

Review: This Director's Cut of Xena Finale Series (Friend's in Need)
was great, The Commentary with Lucy, Rob, and Renee talking about the Finale show. I like the ending much better. They sail off together one in sprit, and one in body.

Summary: Ciao, my Xena
Review: Its sad to see Xena go, but this DVD was pretty cool. It shows the last two episodes of Xena Warrior Princess. Here's a brief plot summary: Xena and Gabby get called to travel to Japan (not called Japan in the episode) to help an old friend of Xena's and to fight some Japanese demon who is harrassing some dead people. The plot has some holes in it that you can drive a truck though, but if you accept that its Xena, they're easy enough to let go. This episode has a lot of interesting Japanese imagery and who can forget the big battle between Xena and the J-army. A few minor scenes that were not present in the original airing of these episodes were added and the very ending was slightly changed which really didn't effect the story at all. The commentary from Lucy and Renee (and Robert) was insightful and interesting. Hopefully, they will release DVDs of the entire series one day.

Summary: Sad to see her go, but well worth the buy
Review: I have been a fan of Xena: Warrior Princess since the very beginning. Being in Australia, where Xena isn't that popular, I've had to go elsewhere to buy the series. Series six hasn't even finished screening here, but once I saw this DVD, I couldn't resist it. And I'm glad I didn't.

Although dark and somewhat different to what I expected, I was impressed with this DVD. I'm quite unhappy (as I'm sure are many other Xena fans) that Xena had to die that way ... if at all. I heard myself yelling at Gabby to just throw those ashes in and ignore Xena's words. I will never understand why Rob Tapert chose to kill Xena off. I felt it didn't fit in with the message the show had been trying to get across for six seasons. They spoke about soulmates, about destiny and Xena and Gabrielle being together forever, which I found myself believing in. And then they went and took Gabby's soulmate away from her. I hope a movie is made to bring Xena back to life! But then again, I'm just wishing. Renee O'connor in my opinion is a magnificent actor, and I feel she stole the show. This DVD was a long, sad roller coaster ride of emotions, and I recommend it to anyone ... even if you are not a fan of the television series. The commentary is fantastic. Lucy and Renee are both incredible women, and I will miss them for a long time.
LONG LIVE XENA, EVEN IN THE UNDERWORLD. Rob ... how about that movie?

Summary: I'm Not A Hard-Core Fan...And I Loved This!
Review: I had only seen a handful of episodes when I watched this; enough to get what is going on with the characters. The acting is wonderful and the chemistry between all the characters is believable, especially Xena and Gabrielle's and Gabrielle and Akemi's. The only thing I had a problem with is the DVD was a dark (as in lighting)...I liked being able to toggle-on the comments of the Actresses and the Director. I am now a HUGE fan!!!
