Summary: Way overpriced
Review: First of all, there's no reason to divide up the season in two parts. This is only 3 discs long and 12 episodes. Why not wait and provide the entire season in one set? Second of all, the price just isn't worth 6 hours of Sex and the City with ZERO extras. What DVD comes out with no extras now?

If you're a die hard fan and you plan on watching the episodes over and over, go for it. But I would really advise waiting until the price drops or until we see if they put out another set when the second part comes out.

Summary: Sad about two-part Season Six...happy to finish the set....
Review: Although I cannot for the life of me believe that there are going to be two parts to the last season of "Sex and the City", I have purchased all the other seasons, so I will buy this one as well. Still, there is no reason to split this season up when seasons one and five were so short. This is obviously about the money for those who are making it and those forced to spend it. Nevertheless, as all you girls (and a few guys as well!) that love the show know, we will all buy it and be glad about it! "Sex", I am sad to see you go. Thanks for the memories!

Summary: Get Over It, People!
Review: I truly wish everyone would stop complaining about the price of these DVD's. I think they're a steal. If you don't wanna pay this much for them, don't. It's as easy as that.

This show is so genius! I cherish having all six seasons to watch over and over. Plus, by owning them I have the joy of introducing this show to other people who (gasp!) may have never seen it before! Season six was classic, a truly fitting ending to a phenomonal show! So many classic moments....Berger and the post it fiasco, Miranda, Charlotte, Samantha and Carrie all did some major growth this season and it was a joy to watch! So get over the price, 10 trips to a Starbucks and you've got this paid for, and get it while it's hot!

Summary: Quit Complaining
Review: Season 5 only has 2 disks (8 episodes) and is at full price. Why is everyone complaining about Season 6, Part 1 with 12 episodes? If you love the show, you love the show and you will pay for it. Just stop it.

Summary: Will be worth the cost
Review: Season six was great -- both halves. If you are new to the show, I would recommend seasons two or three first, but if you are already a big fan of the show, you know that it's worth the extra cost. Why boycott completing the set just because they charged you a little more?

Summary: Sex and the City- Season six part 1
Review: Yes I am going to be buying both parts of season six. But all I can say is that I hope on the second part, that they put all three of the different endings on the DVD, we will be paying about $35.00 for it we should be able to see all of the different endings. They should of just put all of the eposides in one set. money is there main factor!!!

Summary: Only if you can't live without the DVD's...
Review: If I have any criticisms of the DVD's, my first criticism is that season 5 was at full price, despite being a truncated season and that season 6 is divided in half. Will they charge us full price for the last half of season 6 too? How much more does corporate America need to bilk out of fans? My last criticism is the lack of extras on all of the DVD's. For a 30 minute per episode series, there should be a plethora of interviews, featurettes and so forth, especially at the prices charged for these disks but when you pop them into your DVD player, there isn't very much there by way of extras. If you're an absolute die hard fan and are going to watch these DVD's a hundred times, go ahead and buy them. It would be more expensive to rent them from the video store that many times and if you taped the episodes, your VCR tapes would probably melt from all of the use. If you're not a obsessed with Sex and the City, tape the shows off of HBO and save your money.

Summary: Will the Greed ever end???
Review: I haven't even seen the DVD although I did watch all the episodes on HBO. I am protesting because they are releasing the 6th season in two parts and charging dearly for both of them. The ONLY reason I can see for this is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. I can certainly afford to buy them and I love the series, but isn't there any sense of ethics remaining. I agree with the guy who said to hold off on your purchase until they lower the price as a protest. I plan on doing so and I am a die hard fan. The consumer has the ULTIMATE power in this game, and I say we exersize it.

Summary: Excellent season with great character development
Review: I'm sorry, but the price of this DVD is warranted for three amazing reasons:

1) Berger relationship. I would pay the full price of this DVD set just to get the last scene when Berger breaks up with Carrie on a post-it, and in a rage she knocks over the vase. What an amazing scene...so powerful.

2) The episode where Charlotte attends the Jewish singles dating function, where she tearfully confesses her love to Harry. I was blown over. Charlotte has become one of the most developed characters in the show. She was, at first, nothing more than a stereotype -- beautiful girl, looking for romance and love and money. But this actress (thanks to the writers giving her a chance) has blossomed into such an amazing character, especially when, in a depression over losing her child, she sees the documentary on Elizabeth Taylor and she shows up tall, proud and beautiful to Miranda's party.

3) Samantha's growing relationship with Jarod. Although I loathed his semi-fake character at first, I have grown to love his character, especially at the pinnacle of this relationship when Samantha ditches Jarod and has sex with Richard. Seeing her face during that scene, and her "breakdown" when she arrives at the bottom floor to find him waiting for her, was priceless and sweet. Again...very powerful.

The only part of this season I despised was the relationship with Mikhail. What an awful awful awful forced ugly relationship. Carrie became someone who I didn't even recognize. When she kissed him (or was subjected to his overzealous face-sucking, depending on how you viewed it) on the street after he retrieved her purse from the cab, my friends and I retched in revulsion at so contrived a plot. And although it ended just as I wanted it to, I could not but point at the TV and scream, "Death!" every time his character came on the screen.

I highly suggest you buy this set. It's powerful and it has some of the best acting of the series. Trust me.
