Review: This is the movie that shows the very begginings of The Lone Ranger story. Six Texas Rangers are brutally ambushed by the Cavendish gang and left for dead. Tonto, an Indian scout, saves the life of one who is left barely alive. The rest is history. Now the BAD NEWS! The TV print used here for The Lone Ranger is not all that bad... pretty good actually, compared with the usual Alpha product I've seen. But they manage to stuff it up in another way. The movie has horizontal hum bars travelling up the screen for the entire duration of the movie. Very annoying and distracting on the darker scenes although I suppose they can get away with it on the lighter outdoor shots. So again, don't expect DVD quality and you might not be disappointed.
