Review: Magnificent Judy Garland shows why she is The Eternal Flame of Showbusiness on this remarkable dvd release. The picture quality is sharp, the sound clear and true. Watch and listen in awe as this 4 ft 11 inch wonder puts her heart and soul into some of America's great songs. The sound of Mort Lindsey's band engulfs the room and Judy's voice just peals out. When The Sun Comes Out, Old Man River, Come Rain Or Come Shine, The Best Is Yet To Come. Frank Sinatra said in 1969 " She will have a mystic survival - all of us will be forgotten, never Judy Garland". This dvd shows people why The Chairman Of The Board was so generous in his praise.

Summary: A legend immortalized!
Review: The art of performing a song seems lost on so many of today's popular singers. Emphasis has shifted from the lyrics and phrasing to the number of "vocal licks" one can muster per syllable. To see the all-too-real emotional journey Garland crosses during "Old Man River" was worth the cost of the DVD. Micky rooney seems a little rusty and Van Dyke is a tad hokey. However, it's nice to see Liza take her baby steps at Judy's side.

Review: This has to be the FINEST example of Judy's work that has ever been released by a major company. What a joy! Other reviewers have posted many similiar thoughts I have about this. This is definately something for everyone's library....when discussing Artists..regarless of one's preference in music genres.....Judy is the Standard Bearer....and she did it LIVE....with no...trickery....Madonna, Bette, Celine, Whitney, Babs and others.....should fall at the feet of this wonderful and great artist....

Never have there been performances like these and the digital clarity of the picture and the sound is unbeatable. I could not have conceived of anything like this ever being available and I wish to thank those responsible. This is truly a work of art that has been preserved forever. Awesome video, Awesome quality and the incomparable Awesome Judy!!! Even if you don't like this sort of thing.....I know you'll love it! ***********
