Summary: THE BEST TWILIGHT ZONE DVD
Review: THEY REALLY PUT THE BEST SHOWS ON THIS TWILIGHT ZONE DVD. ALMOST ALL OF THEM WERE EITHER WRITTEN BY ROD SERLING AND RICHARD MATHESON.THE ODYSSEY OF FLIGHT 33 IS A STRAIGHT FORWARD SCIENCE FICTION TALE WITH A SURPRISE ENDING. NIGHTMARE AT 30,000 FEET STARS A PRE-STAR TREK WILLIAM SHATNER AND WAS DIRECTED BY RICHARD DONNER. THE MONSTERS ARE DUE ON MABLE STREET WAS ROD'S MOST POWERFUL AND MOVING STATEMENT ON THE DANGERS OF BIGOTRY AND HATE, AND TIME ENOUGH AT LAST IS A SAD/TRAGIC TALE OF ONE MAN WHO FINALLY HAS ALL THE TIME HE WANTS TO READ BOOKS UNTIL FATE DECIDES OTHER WISE. THESE ARE ALL AMONG THE BEST STORIES THE TWILIGHT ZONE HAD TO OFFER.

Summary: the good the bad and the extremely ugly
Review: This dvd holds the greatest of all twilight zone episodes: Time Enough At Last. However the monsters are due on maple street is
an episode that truly [stunk]. Nightmare at 20,000 feet is yet another flooper, but volume 2 makes it's comeback with
the last episode in this dvd: The odyssey of Flight 33 which has the perfect mix of wonder and suspense. BUt all in all I rate it four stars because nothing beats the classic time enough at last.

Summary: I got DUPED!
Review: This is a first for me. I don't usually buy an item based on a total stranger's opinion and now I know why! This item was a complete waste of my money. I budget myself to only one or two movies per month and unfortunately after reading those reviews I decided to purchase this ridiculous waste of a DVD. I purchased this particular movie for the William Shatner episode. I was led to believe that it was better than the episode in "The Twilight Zone - Movie". NOT!! What a joke. All is not lost though...I really enjoyed "Time enough at last". I actually felt sorry for the guy.

Summary: There's a man on the wing!
Review: This is a superb compilation of some of the best Twilight Zone episodes ever made.

This DVD includes the following episodes: "Time Enough at Last", "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street", "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet", and "The Odyssey of Flight 33".

"Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" is my favorite episode. William Shatner is a passenger on an airplane who sees an alien on the plane's wing every time he looks out the window. However, he's the only one who sees the alien - every time he yells to the stewardess or other people, the alien disappears. Everytime he sees the alien, he yells "there's a man on the wing! " It is such a great episode - it made William Shatner the star he is today!

Also, be sure to look for Burgess Meredith in "Time Enough At Last" before he was known as "Mickey" from the Rocky movies.

My only complaint is that there are not more episodes on this disk. I don't understand why CBS didn't release the episodes on a season-by-season basis.

Summary: One of the Best Twilight Zone DVDs
Review: This second volume of Collection One might be the best of the entire Collection. "Time Enough at Last" and "Oddyssey of Flight 33" features two excellent stories with amazing and unforgettable endings. Another classic is "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet," featuring William Shatner, who plays a man recovering from a nervous break down. His flight with his wife proves to be horrific. "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" is a classic exploration into social psychology and mob mentality when a gang of residents on a quiet street are convinced that an alien invasion has occurred.

This second volume is well written with wonderful acting by Burgess Meredith and William Shatner. Highly recommended!

Summary: THE Best DVD Volume As Far As Episode Selection!
Review: This volume of The Twilight Zone DVD series is what I consider to be by far the best! It offers four classic TZ programs, including my 2 all-time favorites .... the two airplane-related shows! The DVD quality is very good in this series. Not much in the way of extra features, however [but there are some text-based items]. I've enjoyed all of the Twilight Zone volumes, but this Volume #2 tops 'em all for great episode selection! The only thing that could have possibly made this volume better would have been by adding a FIFTH program to the disc .... that being another William Shatner classic, "Nick of Time". You can get that one on Volume 9.

Summary: WHAT A JOKE!!
Review: This was a great series but the way they have organized the DVD release of the episodes is one of the biggest rip-offs in recent memories.
When you can buy a complete season of "The Simpsons" or "MASH" and various other shows for $ and whoever distributed these DVDs wants $ bucks when they only contain 4 (or in some cases 3) episodes is ridiculous.
These guys need to release each individual season, they will surely make more money in the long run.

Summary: Two airplanes, William Shatner and Burgess Meredith
Review: Two very, very classic Twilight Zones stories are included in this excellent DVD. "Time Enough at last" from the first season, is clearly one of the best episodes in the series. It was the first one I ever saw, and it captured my attention and turned me into a Twilight Zone fan. Burgess Meredith stars as a lone survivor of an holocaust caused by a bomb. He finally has time to do what he likes the most, read... or so he thinks. "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" features a paranoid William Shatner (Captain James T. Kirk from Star Trek), terrified when he sees on the wing outside his airplane seat a creature destroying an engine. This very same story was done all over again for "Twilight Zone: The Movie" in 1983, this time directed by George Miller (Mad Max, all three of them). "The Odyssey of Flight 33" (Season 2) is another airplane story, where the craft is lost in time. In "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" (Season 1) residents from a suburbian neighborhood believe that extraterrestrials live among them. Also a paranoid story, that clearly refers to the communist threat. A must have DVD for any Twilight Zone fan.
