Review: The show gets top marks but the DVD lacks alot and is simply the early episodes not in any particular order presented in a standard sleeve.You may as well tape them off the cable reruns
It is very frustrating when fans are clammering for extra information on their favorite TV shows and MGM can't provide some extras such as bloopers(now they would be funny)interviews, behind the scenes,biographies etc.
Other annoyances are double sided DVDs-they are a pain but I accept them for packaging purposes.Also spare a thought for us poor folk outside the USA who have to contend with the region restrictions placed on this video-luckily I could find a DVD player that played all formats.

Review: This DVD brings back some great memories. The only difference is this time around, the quality is absolutely unbeatable. Since this DVD has been on the market for a few years, the price is nearly half of the original price. Buy it.

Summary: GOOD OLD FASHIONED FUN!!
Review: this dvd is so funny seeing all the old episodes of mr. ed and the predicaments he gets himself and wilbur into. it was my favorite show as a child and it is so good to see them again! i am so glad they came out with this dvd and i heartily recommend it for fun and laughs.

Review: This is a great DVD set. I wish they had it as "FIRST SEASON" form. The first episode, "The first meeting" was aired on January 5th 1961 and aired on WNBC on Thursday night at 7:30 in New York. As a matter of fact, the first 26 episodes of the actual series aired only in New York. It wasn't until October 1st, 1961 with the episode "My son, My son" did the show go to CBS on Sunday at 6:30 for everyone to see.
This set has some great episodes. I like the ones that had famous people as guest star. This set has the episodes with George Burns, Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Clint Eastwood. They are missing the episode with Mae West as a guest, hope it'll be on the next set. And soon, that was a favorite of mine.
The set is worth buying and is truly a delight to watch. It brings back great memories of my childhood, and how great and creative the shows were back in the sixties.
For those who are fans of old classics, great times and great tv, you need this set. Buy it and enjoy it, it's worth every penny. And remember, the only thing you have to remember is never, never lay a rake on the ground to step on. A clean and wholesome show for all to see.

Review: THIS SET IS MISSING THE CONTROVERSIAL EPISODE WHERE MR. ED VISITS THE GLUE FACTORY. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A GREAT SET AND A GREAT REMINDER OF HOW REVOLUTIONARY THIS SERIES WAS.

Summary: HEARTWARMING, GOOD OLD-FASHIONED FUN
Review: This show was a few years before my time, but I caught several episodes in re-runs as a kid and loved it. I recall the show being funny, but I didn't appreciate its heartwarming charm until now. Today's TV moguls would have us believe that if a show didn't have violence, sex, trechery, non-stop action or overly intricate plots, it's junk. But shows like this one from yesterday, show that just the opposite is true. A premise as seemingly goofy as a talking horse, when properly staffed with endearing actors and imaginative writing put character in to the characters.I've been watching these as I unwind at night, and there's just something so calming about these shows. First, the black and white is visually soothing, while being still vivid. Second, the infectiously playful music keeps me humming and smiling. Finally, the characters and wonderfully silly stories make all the day's trivial troubles melt away. As for the quality of the sound and picture, I have NO qualms. In fact, I'm very pleased. The film is 100% restored, but nothing that jumps out at me except in the dark portions between scenes, and really, who cares then? Actually, it gives it a bit of aged character-- there's that word again! As for those bemoaning that it wasn't released as a complete season, I agree, but then again, it's not really that big of a deal. There will be a Vol 2 and most likely a 3rd and 4th, so as long as all the episodes come out in nice packages like this one, with no overlap, I'll more than survive.

Review: This was my favorite tv show as a kid. I used to watch it on nick at night and haven't seen it in years. Lets hope for more dvds soon. I only wish it were the complete seasons like most tv shows.

Summary: GOTTA HAVE IT!!
Review: Truly a delightful 60's series that deserves to be on DVD. I remember watching this show back in the 60's when I was a young pony....I mean youngster. A true classic. The sixties had such great shows. I'm not too happy that it's a mix of shows from different seasons. I don't understand why it's not in a whole first season form, but it's still worth getting. 21 episodes of a black and white classic. I hope for more.
