Review: Dawson's Creek is definitely one of my all-time favorite TV series ever. Dawson's Creek first aired when I was just starting high school, so it definitely had some meaning to me in that sense. I felt like I grew up with each of the characters on this show. I love watching the first season on DVD because it takes me back to my high school days and reminds me of some great memories I had. This is an awesome show that I think anybody would like regardless of when you went to high school. The characters deal with real issues that a lot of people can relate to. The setting is perect as well. I know that when I watch the show I wish I could go and be where they are. I definitely recommend this show to anyone!

Summary: Is Dawson Named After the Creek or the Creek After Dawson?
Review: Dawson's Creek is the best show I started watching it during the last season and could not believe that I had been missing out on this show so I bought the first and second season on DVD they are both great. The charactors in this teen soap opera face every single problem a teenager could possibly face from pimples to a teen pregnancy from first kisses to first loves. No matter who you are there is probably a charactor of whom you can relate to for me it was Pacey for others it is Jen some Joey and others Dawson. Also you cannot say that you have never seen at least one episode of this because everyone has seen at least one episode in it's lifetime run. I would ONLY recommend this show to teenagers because adults probably would find it hard to relate to. I hope that this review has helped you in making a decision about this product.

Summary: I Love Dawson's Creek!
Review: I was 16 years old when I saw the first episode of Dawson's Creek, and I got hooked right away. I kept watching the show because I felt I could relate to it. When I would watch all the problems the show would go through, in a way they helped me with the problems that I was going through too. I think every teenager should watch this show. I didn't get to watch Seasons 3 thru 6, so I am very anxious and excited to buy the DVDs when they come out!

Review: i admit it. i love dawson's creek. i am a 22-year old femmy male who just adores the drama of this show. i finally earned the money to buy this dvd, and boy oh boy, my money did not go to waste. my money was well spent on dawson's hot bod and pacey's charm. buy this dvd and you will NOT be let down, if you know what i mean.

Review: I have been a true Dawsons Creek Fan since Episode 1!!! I couldn't wait to own the 1st season. It is awsome. Once you sit down to watch you don't want to stop. If you loved the show, you have to own season one. In my opinion, the 1st season is one of the best. Plus...all the extras are great. You learn so much about were it all started and the inspiration for Dawsons Creek in the 1st place. I am not one to write reviews but everyone must know how great this season series is. If I could give it 100 stars I would!

Summary: Emotional, Not Literal Realism
Review: First of all, I would advise those viewers complaining about the two missing episodes from this set to look for the "More" menu item on Disc 2. I didn't see it right away -- it's not glaringly obvious -- and at first assumed there were only three episodes on that disc, but the two "missing" episodes are there.I studiously avoided "Dawson's Creek" throughout its entire six-season run, associating the series with its teen soap brethren like "90210" and "Felicity." Let's just say I'm not a fan of the genre. And, on the face of it, "Dawson's Creek" is exactly the kind of show that makes my skin crawl -- I can take the epic adolescent angst of horny teens when it's presented with humor and leavened with action, as on "Buffy," but 13 straight hours of pure, undiluted high school romance? No mas, por favor! And yet, somehow or another, I got roped in. "Dawson's Creek" had me from the first episode, and I now have to sheepishly admit to being hooked. I'm a fan. Shoot me. There are two elements that help "Dawson" transcend its trashy genre: acting and writing. Creator Kevin Williamson lucked out in landing such talented actors as Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, who deliver performances of heartbreaking, captivating subtlety and depth. Holmes in particular breathes new life into the well-worn "tomboy in love with her platonic male best friend" character; watching her, you feel like you're watching a real person and not a type. Same with Jackson's Pacey; what should be a run of the mill "lovable lunk" becomes something far more complex and interesting as played by Jackson, with his intense, expressive eyes and odd mix of naivete and "old soul" maturity. Then there's the writing. No group of teenagers outside of a school for gifted children ever spoke like the characters on this series do: the dialogue is at least 20 years too old for them. And yet, it works. It's true to what the characters are feeling and dealing with, and gives us an insight into their experience that we wouldn't get with a more conventional depiction. "Dawson" takes what's going on inside these kids and externalizes it, translates it to something an outside viewer can understand. It's not realistic in the way that "My So-Called Life" was; it's not a "you are there" experience. But it's emotionally honest. It's not so much a series about adolescence as about how we remember adolescence. It's not how we talked and acted but how we would have talked and acted if our teenaged selves had had the vocabulary and the self-awareness. Does "Dawson's Creek" escape the confines of its soap opera premise? Not really -- not in this season, anyway. But it's certainly a better show than I would have given it credit for, back in 1998.

Summary: The best series about teenagers ever made!
Review: During six seasons, I watched "Dawson's Creek" and followed the character's growth until the end of the show. I'm not a teenager anymore (I'm almost 30 y.o.), but I really believe every person who likes to watch TV programs with quality should give a chance for Dawson's Creek. This is one of the best TV shows ever made, with an incredible cast and a sensitive director. The plots were always great and it is a kind of surreal thing to see boys and girls, who are 15/17 years old, having arguments like people of my age now. As a true fan of the show, I must admit that this first season was not the best one. But you have to consider the first season is always a kind of lab, where show directors and producers are developing the main plot, presenting the characters and "testing" the show, to find out the viewers acceptance of it. On first season, Dawson finds out his home is not as perfect as he thought it was. Pacey discovers his own sexuality, having an affair with his school teacher. Jen arrives from New York, to live in Capeside with her grandmother, a very religious and severe woman, opposed to jen, who used to have a profane life in the big apple. Joey, sweet as always, becomes confused, when she starts to fall in love with her best childhood friend and neighboor, Dawson, who dates Jen, breaking Joey's heart. The first season reserves classical "Dawson's Creek" moments, such as the "Detention" episode,in which the interesting character Abby is presented and the gang stays stucked in school on a saturday, in a reference to the "breakfast club" movie. There's also the first season finale, with the kiss between Joey and Dawson, that every viewer was waiting since day one. Very touching and beautiful! Dawson's Creek is a masterpiece, an unforgettable journey through teen life, with all of its doubts, insecurities, innocence and friendship. Make it last forever, buying all the seasons, which will be soon released in DVD format!

Review: I have been watching this show for six seasons. I grew up with Jack, Jen, Dawson, Joey and Jen. I cried after watching the finale. But b/c the DVDs have been released, I can tune in any time I want. I can't wait for the other four seasons to be released!

Review: Dawson's Creek has to be one of my favorite shows of all time!!
Right next to 90210, Roswell, and Birds of Prey!! I have to admit though I never got into Dawson's Creek in the very beginning when it first came out. However, I started watching Dawson's Creek towards the ending of the 2nd season and I was very much hooked. And I continued to watch till the series finale, which was very sad and great at the same time. When I heard that Dawson's Creek was going to be on DVD for the first time. I just had to order me a copy!! The 1st season seem so innocent and sweet, which was amazing to see the all the characters so young. I'm planning on getting the 2nd season on DVD for Christmas and the rest of the series on DVD soon!!

Summary: Mixed emotions
Review: I am a very big fan of the show and rushed out to get the First Season as soon as it was released. The only think I'm REALLY upset about is that they claim this is the "Complete First Season" with ALL the episodes, and that is NOT true. I know of at least 2 episodes that are missing from here. Therefore, this season skips from Dawson and Jen being in a great relationship to the next episode where they are broken up...and we don't even get to see why they broke up. This DVD collection of the First Season IS NOT COMPLETE!!!
