Summary: Most Intriguing Show I've Seen
Review: I remember watching the very first episode of this show. And I was so excited because I'd never been so into any show on TV like Dark Angel. After that first episode, I began taping the show because I loved it so much. Dark Angel is definitely above most of those other shows. Dark Angel was so captivating and it became one of the highlights of my week. I was so so disappointed when I found out they cancelled it. I don't understand why the show didn't do that well. It's so amazing! Maybe it didn't have as many viewers as they'd like but the religious viewers the show did have really LOVED the show. I really hope that this DVD comes out. If we can't have a 3rd season, we should at least get the first season on DVD.

Summary: DARK ANGEL - The Brightest of Them All!
Review: I wish I could give it 10 Stars! Wow! Really Wow! It's the best series on the planet! I wonder why DVD's are not yet released in the U.S. when it was available long before here in Japan. If you like sci-fi with a touch of realism, this is the one for you. I just hope the U.S. DVD's will be released soon so that millions of people there could grab it. Believe me, I know the feeling of wanting to own these DVD's but just could not find one. Guess I'm just too lucky!

Summary: Dark Angel in Japan
Review: This story about "the studio has not released..." is [nonsense]. The whole series, both seasons, is available all over Japan now. I have personally recorded every episode, and it is really an outstanding experience.

In a way, I am glad that the season is over, because it could be wrapped up with "Freak Nation" -- although there was no resolution, only a stand-off. The great thing about this show is that it transcends racism to deal with more deep-seated prejudice against transgenics, but the dynamics are the same -- the yahoos are everywhere. As a half-breed Eurasian, I really want to see a world where all freaks are accepted. Another great thing is it shows the human spirit in adversity -- the post-apocalyptic world brings out good and bad in people. Unfortunately the reverse lesson might be that it would take worldwide depression to make people actually act like "humans".

I do wish they would bring it back because I want to find about the "Coming" - the really bad event of biblical proportions -- that really leaves me with a desire to see more. I really like where the Mesopotamian connection was going, although I think the "Familiars" could have been made less hokey and more realistic (cf. the Illuminati etc.) by more closely alluding to "Stairway to Heaven" and "Orion Mystery" theories.

Anyway, all good things have to end sometime.

Peace,

Ananda in Tokyo/New York

Summary: An underrated series with an underrated star.
Review: Fans were delighted when Fox indicated that the show was all but guaranteed a third season... and they were horrified when Fox cancelled it at the very last second in favour of Joss Whedon's "Firefly." Needless to say, I shall refuse to give it the time of day if a British broadcaster buys it (not out of the question).

"Dark Angel" was flawed, yes; derivative, true; and it did have a few dreadful episodes (the Halloween episode in season 2 is generally considered the low point), but it was more good than bad, with a final episode that left a lot of open questions but was still a good way to end the series... which is not to say that I didn't want a third season because I did. (And still do.)

James Cameron's first TV series would have gotten a 4-star rating by itself, but the presence of the human personification of sex that is Jessica Alba boosts it into the highest score. Not only is she underrated as an actress, but she is absolutely THE most stunning woman to arrive on my viewing screen in years. She's too alluring to be gone for long; there are viewers (mainly male) who watched it purely for her. Though the show's good overall, you can't blame them.

Summary: Worth More Than 5 Stars
Review: Dark Angel is a show in which so many people watch. It is fun, cool, and the plotline keeps you stuck to the screen. Jessica ALba is a great actress, and works with great performers as well. Dark Angel should be released (both seasons) on DVD and VHS, and the show should be aired next fall. For fans like me, we want Dark Angel back. It is one of the best shows I have ever seen put together. James Cameron has done a great job, and we all have faith that he will continue doing this marvel of a show. Dark Angel is certainly worth more than 5 stars. Think of the highest amount of stars you can think of, higher than a thousand, and multiply it by the same number. That is how many fans you have. Anyone considering to buy this DVD/VHS if it comes out who hasnt seen the show will be pleased, if not excited for more. I give Dark Angel more than 5 stars.

Summary: James Cameron's Dark Angel
Review: This was the best show ever! I expected it to be a *@/# show, but I actually enjoyed it very much. It had the right amount of realism to keep it enjoyable instead of off the wall, and had interesting dark and complex themes. While it still followed the basic good vs. evil, this show blurred the lines, and was not afraid of giving the characters on the side of justice and truth bad sides, and gave the evil characters good charactistics! I loved this show and I hope they release it on DVD soon, because I'm going to go through withdrawel soon if I don't see more Dark Angel!

Summary: A hopeful Customer
Review: I loved the Dark Angel TV series, it was an awesome show. I found it very discouraging when I heard there wasn't going to be a third season. I hope that this DVD will become availible soon. I would greatly advise that the person who reads this review next will make a review of their own.
