Review: Just received my DVDs, watched about 10 episodes, I think this show was the best ever....the comedy is hilarious and the timing is perfect.... these shows never get old, from Ralph going "bang zoom" to Norton with his taking forever to dial a phone, line up the pool balls on the pool table, getting Ralph into a fight with big Harvey ( hes got a friend Shirley thats bigger than him)
to his mother in law, "THE BLABBERMOUTH"..... I could go on and on.... great show, great actors cant beat it, "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED" buy it, you wont be sorry.....

Review: No mention of DIGITALY REMASTERED anywhere on this DVD box set, because the series wasn't! These are old transfers from the 1980's and right from DISC 1, you know this was not lovingly restored as was The I LOVE LUCY series for DVD release. The sound is MUDDY right on the first episode (Ironically you have to turn your set up double volume on an episode about a TV set) TV OR NOT TV and there are lines through the screen and scratches in the print? Besides the edited HOMEYMOONER ANIVERSARY Special...there is about 90 seconds of EXTRAS? I have more EXTRAS (Original BUS OPEN, etc.) from the collector's market on video. The packaging is nice and glad the series is finally out in this format BUT saddened to see probably the #1 show in TELEVISION History treated this way. The people that assembled this set just cared about one thing...$. If you want to see how this set should have been done, take a look at the DICK VAN DYKE SHOW DVD sets. I have learned that FOX plans to release the first season of LOST IN SPACE with old 1980's transfers too! They don't want to pay the $ to Produce a really good Product and then wonder why it is not selling? It is a shame that this is what we are left with, after the long wait for the DVD releases of these series! Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the series and appreciate it being on DVD BUT am baffled by the transfers.

Summary: Honeymooners All On DVD Very Good
Review: Received this today and have pretty much gone through most of the 5 dvd sets and if you love the Honeymooners you will love this collection on DVD. The shows themselves are excellent as we all know, but if your looking for some great enhancement on DVD, you will be a little disappointed. Well of course this is a Black and White show so what would you expect right? But to give some credit, the DVD issues are much clearer and smoother than the VHS copies. One misnomer that was rumored about this dvd set was that the dvd's were not in original show order but categorized by genre. Well that is false, all the shows are in chronological sequence with the dvd inner covers giving you each date when the shows aired. Also, they have the CBS Special from the 90s on the dvd extras called 'The Honeymooners Reunion' which has interviews with cast/crew. Only reason why I can't give this 5 stars is as another poster said, the first show in disc one labeled 'TV OR NOT TV' has very bad sound quality. It seems like the sound is drowned out , even though I had my volume up all the way up. I was a little disappointed with this since I thought all of the episodes on this dvd set would be like this but THANKFULLY they are not, it's just the first episode on the first disc. Don't know why this was this way but the other episodes on the same disc and other discs sound quality is just fine. But overall, this is a great set. If you were waiting for the DVD set to get all of the shows in one collection and not having to buy 39-40 vhs tapes, this is the ideal Honeymooners set for you.

Summary: TV or not TV problems?
Review: Just bought the classic 39 episodes on DVD. The sound quality of episode one is not good. Also, there are two vertical white lines for the entire episode. My original VHS of this episode does not have these problems. All other episodes are fine, except that they appear a little dark compared to my original VHS tapes. Summary: How Sweet it is!... Get the Bag Norton!
Review: I can't think of a TV show that I have enjoyed more than the Honeymooners. LOOK NO FURTHER. These 39 episodes are THE DEFINITIVE EPISODES that we all know and love, and this is the FIRST TIME they have ever been available... so grab yours while they are available. The "Lost Episodes" are good... but the quality of these episodes eclipses them.

Summary: HOW SWEET IT IS!
Review: Those of you who are fans of the Honeymooners know why this is probably the best of the "Black and White" television genre. For those of you thinking of buying this set, just plunk down the fifty bucks and get it! I don't think a television comedy show has ever been done better than this and I don't think one ever will! The acting is fantastic and the plots pure genius! Especially the episode where Ralph goes on a game show to win 99,000 dollars! Thank You Jackie,Art,Audrey and Joyce!

Summary: The Great One and the greatest show on earth
Review: The reason for owning The Honeymooners: Ralph and Norton handcuffed together because of a failed magic trick of Norton's("boomf!"). The two are on a train heading in opposite direction of the train their wives are on - they think the wives are on the wrong train. The boys try to settle in for the night - handcuffed. Norton takes out a cigarette:
Norton: Ralph, mind if I smoke?
Ralph: I don't care if you burn.
I must have seen this particular ep a million times since I was a kid and it has NEVER failed to make laugh till I cried.
So run, don't walk and order your copy of the the greatest show on earth. It will keep you laughing for years to come. I'm hysterical now remembering this show.
