Summary: Please add subtitles for foreing viewers
Review: This DVD is excelent. The show is clever and funny. For the next seasons I would ask the DVD producers to add subtitles in spanish, french and english because the show is watched in many other countries.

Summary: great season
Review: I love frasier, this show is awesome. Having it on DVD is soooooooooooo cool, the bonus features are pretty cool too.
now the reasons I gave it only, 3 stars.
1. no captions, I don't normally use them, but some times I like to turn them on, some times it's hard to tell exactly what was said.
2. no episode descriptions, it's nice to have a brief description of the episode before you watch it.

but all in all, it's a good buy for a Frasier fan.

Summary: Absolutely worth every penny!!!
Review: This is great for fans of Frasier. Excellent!!! They don't show the reruns of the first season too much anymore. I cant wait until all of the seasons are on DVD format.

Summary: just excellent
Review: This is being written mainly to contradict an earlier reviewer who said these DVDs aren't closed-captioned.

They are. The only DVDs I've run into that aren't are English productions such as the Jeeves and Wooster series.

However, the Frasier DVDs aren't subtitled, so you'll have to

(a) have a DVD player which supports closed-captioning, not just subtitling, and

(b) activate the closed-captioning, which many people don't do

Summary: Terrible comedy series
Review: This show is so bad, I don't even know why I'm taking the time to write this review, it's not worth it. Why anyone would want to watch a show about snobs is beyond me.

Summary: Finally . . .
Review: With all the new DVD sets coming out with Season This and Season That, I couldn't wait for Frasier to come out, whichever season. I am not disappointed. The video quality is excellent and the sound is great as well.

Although I started a a few years late, even with reruns, I am amazed at how many of the first season shows I have missed. If you have never seen how it all began, this is the DVD set for you. It shows how all the characters converged together to make up this smash hit.

Can you say no commercials? Aside from the sheer enjoyment of watching this set, the price is incredibly reasonable as well.

Summary: Absotively Great!
Review: Received this set for Father's Day and can only say it's one of the very best on the market. Frasier has always been one of our favorites and its even better having 24 full episodes at our fingertips all the time. Each one of these are real side-splitters! Currently we have our VCR programmed to record Frazier daily, but they're all re-runs and we've seen each at least 5 times! Except most of THESE! For the money, you can't go wrong with this set! I just wish they'd do this (on DVD) with the old Mary Tyler Moore series.

the first year is still the best

Summary: Finally!
Review: "Yes, and I'd love to stay but I... have my therapy group meeting, and last time I was late the, er, compulsive gamblers were betting the passive aggressives that they couldn't make the over-eaters cry."--Niles

What can I say? I've been waiting for years for this to come out on DVD. Some of the best episodes were from season one, for example "Give Him the Chair," "My Coffee With Niles," and...well...there are so many. I agree with this being the best show of the 90's...extremely well-acted and well-written. Blah Blah...Anyway, you can keep your Friends and your Seinfelds, but this is a true gem. Give it a try.

Summary: Great show - DVDs not spectacular
Review: I am a big fan of the show and not much can be said that hasn't already been said about the shows themselves. I just wanted to comment specifically on the DVD presentation. The picture quality is average - maybe this has to do with the source materal but I was not blown away by the clarity. The sound is fine but seems to be louder than other DVDs - I have to set the volume down on my TV compared to most movies. Maybe this is something to do with my particular DVD player?

The discs are light on extras - most notably, the DVD is missing a "play all" feature - you have to go to the remote to start every episode. I would like to see this feature in the next release.
