Law & Order Criminal Intent - The First Year

Review: When some one thinks of criminal intent, one thing comes to mind: the criminal's mindset and how they commit their crimes. Not surprisingly, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" shows exactly this; Detectives Goren and Eames pursue some of the worst, weird, and whacky. A thank you to Rene Balcer and Dick Wolf for creating one of the most interesting shows on television in a world where the more boring reality TV shows have become the norm. And, of course, they built a series that has it all: thought provoking crimes show up in many episodes (Phantom, The Extra Man), wherein others contain more common crimes with raised stakes (One, Art, and Tuxedo Hill).
A person could go on forever talking about the characters and actors, yet I choose not to. We all know that the show is very solid with the talent and characters it has.
There is only one thing left to say about such a great show: I can't wait for the next season to come out on DVD. I believe that the first season was testing limits and breaking down barriers. Season 2 was full throttle into the weird and obscene (For ex.: Probability and Dead).
