Review: I loved this show back in the day and STILL love it now! The presentation of the dvds offered here are GREAT! Great picture quality for it's time and nice sound. I find that most of these shows of the 70s have scratches in the film itself but that doesnt take away from the joy you will feel as you watch this great show again for the first time on dvd! It's magnificent!

Review: I got my DVD's the first season of Starsky and Hutch and I must say they are wonderful.Absolutely fantastic!I hope Sony puts the Second Season out this year for the fans of Starsky and Hutch.That would be great!The first season is absolutely wonderful! I can't tell how great these DVD's are.Really nice indeed.Now we the fans can watch our favorite guys and favorite tv show over and over with this fantastic collection.This will no doubt be a collectors item in the future as well as now.Thank you Sony for putting the first season out for the public.I hope you put out season two real soon.Thank you too Amazon for selling this wonderful package to the fans of Starsky and Hutch.

Review: The best cop show of the '70's is back with a vengeance. I remember this show when I watched it as a teenager. Thought it was cool then, and still think it's cool now. You can thank Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul for that. These guys made the show what it is. And that ultra cool Lalo Schifrin score is baad. My only two minor complaints are that I wish they remastered the sound in dts or 5.1 instead of mono, and the episodes from the master prints- a few look a little fuzzy and scratchy. But besides that, the dvd set is great. We've waited a long time for this. Bring on season 2!!

Review: When does season 2 come out?! This DVD has a great interview on disc 5. (Would like to have seen outtakes.) The packaging is awesome. I learned a lot from that show: If you're on the side of right, you have nothing to fear, be honest with yourself and others, and use your turn signals! I know now they didn't like the car, but I always will. I saw one in Atlanta in 1979 at a restaurant and just KNEW they were there. ha ha. I still want one today. Its funny, but when I first saw S&H, I told my mom, "Hey, that's the guy from Fiddler on the Roof." :)

Recapture the very essence of everything that this show stood for, beautiful friendship, caring, love, laughter, honor and trust... The action and adventure is still there, but most of all, the relationship that rocked Hollywood with its beauty and its warmth. It's all here in the first season. Tip your hats to Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul for having the courage and the heart to give the spirit of humanity to these characters!

Review: The quality of the restoration goes without saying, these episodes and our beloved cop team never looked so goood!
For anyone who never had the pleasure of experiencing this show the first time around, you'll love it! The other reviewers have covered all the usual comments, so read those for more on the episodes, etc... My husband and I are big fans from back in the day, but the pleasant surprise is our 8 year old son, who has been hooked for the last 3 years on episodes aired by TNT on occasion. This DVD is a fun family nite for us all!
I would like to focus on the AMAZING packaging job on this collection! It's a wonderful surprise, and I don't want to spoil it ! I'll just say the graphics and subject matter could not be better, as we all know there's a third star in this show.... I can only hope Season Two is next on the list!

Review: It's about time that this great series comes out on DVD. I can't wait for the remaining seasons to come out. I hope that there will more in depth interviews with Paul M. Glaser, David Soul, Antonio Fargas and Bernie Hamilton.

Summary: They dont get a dime??
Review: Is the below poster correct? Glaser and Soul dont get a buck for this DVD release? Wasn't that what that lengthy 1980 actors strike was about--- residuals for cable TV and tape rentals & sales (surely DVD's aren't immune from the details of that settlement!) If that's true, that's really appalling. (Especially since sales are likely to be brisk due to the recent movie tie-in). I know they don't own a piece of the show, and that residual percentages dwindle to zip over time--- but does that mean that even when a fresh DVD package is released onto the market, the dwindling re-run residual issue still applies? If so, S.A.G. needs another strike--- QUICK!! [THREE MONTHS AFTER FIRST POSTING THIS: I see that Glaser and Soul do sit down for a DVD-exclusive interview. So maybe they got at least cab-fare.]

Review: It was fun watching the episodes of Starsky and Hutch. The chemistry between Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul is wonderful. I did not see all of the original episodes in the past so it was fun to see episodes that I recognized and those that were "new" to me. I hope that they will release the other seasons on DVD in the near future.
