Summary: Finally!
Review: Cops and robbers, pimps and hustlers, all done in grand 70's style. This is probably the finest cop show ever...sorry Kojak and Baretta! Check out these two cool hip cops take on every lowlife on the seedy streets of downtown L.A. Have a bunch of friends over, wear your best pair of bellbottoms, and time travel back to a simpler time...Starsky & Hutch style!

Summary: Starsky & Hutch Rule!
Review: This DVD set is awesome! The picture quality is terrific and it is great to watch the episdoes in their entirity without commerials! Having been only 5 when the series was on in the 70s, it is great to watch these episodes now and appreciate how fantastic this series was! The extras are good, but the Behind the Badge segment on Disc 5 is probably the best - there are in-depth interviews about how the show came to be. I must say that every episode on this DVD set is great and Season 1 may very well be the best of the series. Looking forward to the remaining seasons coming out for us long waiting Starsky & Hutch fans!

Summary: Where is Miami Vice
Review: Come on? Where is Miami Vice?

Who cares about Good Times? The Jeffersons? Sex and the City?

The best TV show of all time was Miami Vice. PUT IT ON DVD ALREADY!!!!!

Summary: Choice!
Review: Just in time for the theatrical release is this handsomely packaged 5-CD set of the first season. It is hard to imagine the movie will measure up to the series, although you can catch a glimpse of the movie in the extras included in this box set. The series burst on the scene in the mid 70's. Starsky and Hutch proved an instant hit as an entertaining police odd couple covering the streets of LA in their sporty red Gran Torino. I was partial to Starsky myself. Hutch a bit too straight laced, but the two played so well off each other, until success spoiled them in the later seasons. Huggy was a great comic foil, and you will enjoy the numerous guest appearances in this series. Interesting to see that Michael Mann wrote two of the early episodes: Texas Longhorn and Lady Blue. He would later make his mark in Miami Vice. But to me, Starsky and Hutch remains the best buddy cop show on TV, playing off the various cop movies of the time. And you just can't beat that Gran Torino!

Summary: An awesome trip down memory lane
Review: I can't describe how much fun I've had the past few days watching this great 5-disc set. For such old film stock, the visual and audio quality is super. And I'm thrilled that those old favorite episodes that have stuck in my memory all these years are still as touching and entertaining as ever. Ok, so the clothing is awful, LOL, and sometimes the plots are a bit goofy or schmaltzy, but that's half the fun! And where else will you see gas prices at 62 cents per gallon?

But the BEST thing of all is that the absolute heart of the show, the relationship between Starsky and Hutch, still has the power to make me laugh out loud or bring tears to my eyes...the sign of a true classic. Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul were pure magic. They made their characters two of the coolest fictional cops ever...make no mistake, they're the only true Starsky and Hutch. If you were a fan in the '70s, give yourself a huge treat and buy this set. If you're under 30 and are judging S&H by the recent movie, get an education and buy the set! ;-) In addition to the pure enjoyment you'll get from it, it'll also send a message to Columbia Tristar that we want - no, need - seasons 2 through 4!

Summary: Loved it as a Child and Still Love it as an Adult!
Review: It is very clear that a lot of the critics of Starsky and Hutch who are always bashing it just don't get that some of us fans were children when this show aired on television and we grew up watching this show in the 70s. I was ten years old when it aired on television and me and my friends enjoyed watching it. Like other reviewers have said, it has everything, action, drama, humor, and this an enjoyable cop show that is not graphic like the cops shows on TV these days and can be be watched by the whole family. David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser make a great team and I very highly recommend the first season DVD set for their entertaining cop show and I can't wait for the rest of the seasons to be released to DVD!

Summary: Simply the Best!!

Summary: Marvellous trip down Memory Lane
Review: I used to be a huge fan of S&H as a child and this DVD brought back such great memories. Despite some problems with the sound quality of the pilot episode, the production values are great and the featurettes and interviews were entertaining and informative. It's great to have all the first season's episodes to watch from time to time and I really hope that the rest of the series will soon be available.
