Review: After watching Family Guy in its previous television state and purchasing the vol. 1 DVD set, I can tell you that Family Guy is one of the funniest shows ever made. Family Guy is like a combination of The Simpsons, South Park, and Futurama. The Characters are well developed, and they are very funny. Also, the show has great paradies of other T.V. shows and movies like Star Trek and NYPD Blue. If you do not believe my review, than look at the countless other viewers that gave Famliy Guy 5 stars. The humor and twisted story lines in Family Guy will make Vol. 2 a great buy. Pre Order this now. I know I will.

Review: this is the best cartoon show i have ever seen i first saw it on tv back when it aired on fox and loved it the only way i could watch it after it was cancled was to download episodes i now have th edvd to watch which i am very thankful for i suggest thie purchase for anyone whos in for a good laugh its a great buy !

Even though after fox took it off the air, cartoon network started playing it, it would sill be best to buy the series. You will laugh and be glad you bought this. Summary: Shame on you, Fox
Review: Yes, Fox shut it down, but just maybe it'll come back. Right, guys? Right? Oh, damn. Yes, even though it'll be another five months before this volume comes out, I have seen every episode from Season 3 and I think every one is worth owning/watching. Very witty, very catchy and just plain hilarious. Thank you Seth for creating a wonderful cartoon and to the rest of the cast and crew for helping make it extraordinary.

Summary: Family Guy Season 3 & 4
Review: This show is a riot. If you like the Simpsons and Futurama you are going to love Family Guy. For those people who love the current style of the Simpsons, with it's multilayered and complex plots (where something as simple as buying a donut can lead to Homer being made part of the space program) the scripting on Family Guy will not disappoint. The route from point A to point B is frequently circuitous with enough sub plots and asides to engage the mind as well as the funny bone. For DVD freaks there are not really any extra features to get excited about on the DVD. There are standard controls for episode access and each episode is broken down into four "chapters" to help you search for favourite moments. Beyond that, the only advantage DVD format has over VHS for this collection is the ability to pick any episode you like and watch it without having to fiddle with fast-forward and rewind controls on your video.

Summary: OK, I'm Jumping the Gun...
Review: ...But so what? I've seen every single show show that aired (yes, FOX, many people persevered and hunted the show down through every single ... time slot change!) and I can honestly say that no show ever made me laugh this much. Watching this show while eating is a genuine threat to one's health as the risk of choking is great. Granted, I don't know if this DVD will have any unseen shows (fingers crossed...) but even if it doesn't this is fine way to remember this unjustly derided and crassly funny program.

Summary: Family Guy, we barely knew thee!
Review: With the release of this boxed set, you can now own the third and final season of the short-lived but outstanding cartoon series "Family Guy." The 22 episodes from this season are, overall, quite hilarious. The commentary is frequently as enjoyable as the episodes, as various members of cast and crew discuss the creation process, animation, writing, censorship, etc. The last two episodes in this set are very memorable. The last aired episode explores three pieces of "viewer mail" -- three bizarre scenarios like wishes from a genie in a bottle, superpowers from toxic waste, and "Little Rascals," Quahog style. The last episode didn't make it on the air. Tasteless but side-splitting jokes about Judaism obviously didn't please censors and network officials. It's well worth it to own all three seasons (two boxed sets) of this show. The writers constantly push the boundaries of taste, tact, and television censorship. Television wasn't ready for "Family Guy," but you should be ready to own every episode!

Review: Quite possibly the most underrated comedy ever devised, The Family Guy enjoyed three all-too-brief seasons before getting the axe. Fortunately, the ratings in syndication were so high that the show will be back, starting in 2005. Which means that it is time to get this DVD and get caught up. Featuring 22 episodes from the third season, this DVD showcases the further adventures of the borderline-insane Griffin family and their dysfunctional neighbors, all of whom contribute something unique to the comedic mosaic. The standouts are Stewie, the megalomaniacal toddler, Brian, the sarcastic, martini-sipping family dog, and Quagmire, the womanizing swinger who is funny when he scores, and even funnier when he doesn't. Comparisons will be made, justly, to the Simpsons. While there are some similarities, Family Guy is far more extreme and over-the-top, and will appeal to anyone look for a seriously politically incorrect comedy. Highest possible recommendation.

Review: Family guy is the best show ever made. It is the funniest cartoon/television show. Its characters are brilliant, humorous and offensive at the same time, which of course makes for a very enjoyable show. The political references, 70's/80's tv references are hysterical as well as stewie, the diabolical 1 year. I reccomend this to anyone with a sense of humor, and someone who doesn't take offense easily.

Summary: Back with a Vengeance
Review: The Fox network recanted their decision of cancelling Seth MacFarlane's subversive animated gem, and at the 11th hour ordered another season, and just in time for Seth to cajole most of the writers for a return.
Following the 11 month hiatus, Seth brings the Griffin family back for what is often cited as the funniest of the seasons. The third season features "The Thin White Line", featuring Brian's personal struggle with a cocaine addiction, while taking many pop culture shots at breakfast cerial magnate Toucan Sam and late night mainstay David Letterman. "Brian wallows and Peter's Swallows" contains the Emmy winning song, written and performed by none other then Seth MacFarlane, recounting life in America over the years the agoraphobic elderly woman has missed. The follow-up to "The Thin white Line" finds Brain as a struggling screenwriter in Hollywood, with special guest appearences by porn legends Jenna Jameson and Ron Jeremy.
Fans of Family Guy must not despair, as the what was thought of as the last season of Seth's short lived endeavor will return for a fourth season, and Seth has once again cajoled most of the writers to return, and once again reassembling the veteran Hollywood voice talents to return.
