Summary: Seth MacFarlane: The Genious
Review: It's a shame such a good show was cancelled. Seth MacFarlane is a genious, and this is a highly underrated show. It's got to be the funniest Animated Series ever made.

Summary: Awesome but a warning for the hardcore fan
Review: All the episodes of season 3 are absolutely fantastic. But why wouldn't they be, family guy is the greatest animated show in history. I'm just writing this to warn the hardcore fan. Fox cut out scenes in the first volume and they may again. For instance, the osama bin laden scene and the JFK pez dispenser scenes were cut entirely from volume 1 so hopefully there part of the deleted scenes on volume 2. In other words the episodes may not be truly full. Also, Seth McFarlane the other day announced that family guy is very close to a comeback and a movie is in the works so live on family guy!

Summary: Stewie for President
Review: First off, I have to respond to the comment that insults people who buy TV show DVDs. A DVD player costs $100, about 2 month's cable bills, but would probably have been bought anyway to watch movies, so it's a sunk cost. Now, say there are only a few shows a person REALLY likes - enought to fork over $$$. Why pay $50 EVERY MONTH to get a bunch of channels you don't like when you can make a one-time expenditure of $40 to get a show that, like Family Guy, is funny and enjoyable repeatedly. Plus, factor in the choice to buy the DVD so you can watch when you want to (and you don't want to drop $500 plus a monthly fee on TiVo), then it works out really well. (Say I like three shows - that's a first year cost of, say, $220 (Player + 3 DVD's), versus the first year cost of cable+Tivo, which is about $1100 and even without the TiVo, you're talking $600). You're making some assumptions, Montana-man, that don't apply to everybody...

Oh, and Family Guy rocks. Haven't seen this yet, but I expect it will compare to Vol 1 and 2. That's an assumption too, but I'm stating it expressly...

Summary: Buy this Set!
Review: What can I say? Family Guy was the best animated cartoon in the history of television! Yes, even better than the current Simpsons, which has gone stale in the past few seasons. Even though Simpsons was clever, it never made me howl and cry with laughter, which I have done on numerous occasions with Family Guy. I have seen the lost episode, "When You Wish Upon a Wienstein", I managed to download it a while ago, and let me tell you, it wont disappoint! It is absolutely halarious. Ben Stein is actually a guest voice, as a Rabbi. One can see, however, why it was banned. All of you will know what I am talking about, very soon. The quality is outstanding, which only adds to the outstanding show that it already is. BUY THIS SET, AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE FIRST SEASON, BUY THAT TOO!!!

Summary: It's Freak'n Sweet!!
Review: Just picked up my DVD from Dallas, TX Wal-mart yesterday (Aug.29,2003). I thought is wasn't supposed to be available until Sept. 9th or something. So far, I've only made it through the first disk of 3. Kind of stinks that there aren't more disk like volume 1 but oh well, that's Fox's fault. It's a great dvd and I recommend that you get it as soon as possible.

Summary: funnier than the simpsons
Review: yes I said it...now before you get all [upset] let me say this the simpsons is clearly a better show with quality plots and lovable characters (15 years and running) but for my money I'm taking the family. No other show can you sit back zone out and just laugh like you can the family guy. the replay value is never ending and I love all the throw backs and nods they do to classic movies and T.V shows, which you might miss or not get if you are young, stupid or didn't watch television growing up. the family guy is all about the laughs some very subtle if your not paying attention, most blatantly obvious, for this I am a fan forever.
