Summary: read this!
Review: i was an avid fan of this show from the moment it came out on tv. I was so sad whenever my mother informed me that it would be taken off the air... i was about 13 when i began watching the show and my mother always watched it with me. we both enjoyed it very much. although i was not in high school at the time, i did identify with a lot of the things that the characters went through, especially Angela, because she was really shy and had a hard time speaking up sometimes. i am so glad that this show is going to be released onto dvd.1 i just cant wait ..this is so exciting! Anyone who is anyone should buy this, i give a 100% promise they will love it!

Summary: My So Called Lunchbox
Review: MSCL will historically be one of the most important TV shows of the 90s (as will "Roseanne"), and represents the culture and experience of growing up in the years of grunge and Generation X. All the details of clothing, music, and issues are woven together perfectly, and the series does for 90s under-30somethings what "MASH" did for Vietnam. It's brief duration was a tragedy, but it's impact was tremendous, much like the whirlwind revolution of grunge and alternative music.

But one can't help but be a bit disappointed with the complete lack of extras in the set, especially with the knowledge that floating somewhere in production out there (a stalled production thanks to the bumbling and fishy, illegal acts of anotheruniverse.com) there is an entire DVD filled with extras... a bonus disc that was to be included with a special edition MSCL DVD set that came in a Lunchbox.

This set is nice, but let's hope and pray the Bonus Disc with tons of extras makes it out of production and will someday see the light of day. Something tells me there's about as much chance of that happening as a MSCL Movie, though.

Summary: My So Called Memory
Review: I can remember the first UK run of My So Called Life and it being the first show that I ever really got hooked on. Then 3 episodes in I heard that the network had pulled the plug and they hadn't even finished the series. It should have run for 21 episodes rather than the 19, I think, but I'm not sure. Clare Danes is an amazing actress and all the supporting cast are fantastic too. This is as close as it gets to how mid-to-latter years of teenage life is and possibly something anyone planning to be (or is already) a parent should watch, just to remember.

Summary: My so-called life is the best

Summary: Wonderful series
Review: From the creators of thirtysomething, Relativity, and the recently cancelled Once and Again, this was a terrific series that aired in 1995 for only one season. It is about Angela, so genuinely played by Claire Danes, going through a troubled teen year, and about her friends doing the same. There was so many stories that were so important to the time--one girl had a drinking problem, one boy was gay, Angela just felt awkward through everything, and it all made sense. But the show got cancelled and left a large void for all who followed it. With it's resurfacing on MTV a year or so later it caught on again and never let go. It's fan base has remained and with this DVD finally in release many of us can now throw out our much used, much overused VCR tapes. If you are a fan of any of the above mentioned shows by Herskovitz and Zwick, the creators, this show will not disappoint. This is a wonderful, entertaining, thoughtful, satisfying, and brilliant series that deserves a place on your shelf. I'm so glad that it's come to us on DVD, it's about time......enjoy!!

Summary: My So-Called Review
Review: First off, I often find myself describing My So-Called Life to friends (it was never shown on free-to-air in Australia) and they're surprised that I enjoy it like I do. Sadly, their general response is, "But it sounds like a girl's show!" Alas, these are the same people who believe The Simpsons is just a kid's show.

Personally, MSCL depicted the teenage experience better than anything I'd seen, and I was drawn to it from the beginning. Sure, they may have embellished the 'teen angst' theme a bit much in some storylines, but that just adds to the appeal of the show. Also, almost anyone can identify with at least one of the show's characters.

One of the best things about this new DVD Set, is that those who may have missed MSCL during its initial run, and subsequent re-airings, will now get the chance to see what all the fuss is about. So, buy this set, watch it all the way through, and then watch it again. And like myself, you'll probably find yourself referring it to friends.

Summary: Finally, all 19 episodes of this classic TV show on DVD!
Review: While lacking extras, this set delivers what My So-Called Life fans want most --All 19 episodes, unedited and uncut.

As of this writing, I can honestly say that I am one of the few people in the world to have previewed the discs, as I received a check-disc copy from BMG.

Fans will not be disappointed.

The surround-sound audio is crystal clear and the video was clear enough for me to sometimes see the makeup on Jared Leto's face! The disc includes english-only subtitles, and there is no region coding (Amazon is incorrectly listing the product as region-1).

Just as the show revolutionized television programming, the DVD itself changed how studios create and market DVD products. In fact, it was the fans themselves who petitioned BMG to create the DVD box set. Congratulations to BMG and the MSCL fans for a job well done!

I would like to send a personal thanks to Steve Joyner, of Operation Life Support fame. I know that this DVD would not be a reality without his pioneering efforts to save the show from cancellation.

Review: I LOVE this show. I didnt watch it when it was on air, but I was flipping channels & came across it. I had heard about it so I decided to watch it. And now im addicted! This show is just really well written, & the preformances by all the actors are amazing. I LOVE RAYANNE!! but I wish this dvd would be cheaper. i think 40 dollars would be good. By the way, if you cant wait until you buy this, they show it regularly on NickNoggin.

Summary: Wow. The absolute best. Absolutely.
Review: My husband bought me the "My So-Called Life" DVD box set for Valentine's Day and I spent the entire weekend re-watching all of it. I was 20 when it was on network TV and I could totally relate to Angela. Now I'm 29, a mother of two and disturbed because I can see things from Patty's point of view now. But at the same time, I still feel much like Angela. Wow, does anyone *ever* feel like they fit in? I hear alot of people complain about the series being canceled and while I would have loved to have seen more of Angela, Rayanne, Rickie and the rest of the gang, I don't think it would have been as good. This way, it's like finding an old diary in a used book store. All you get to know is that one finite portion of that person's life that they chose to put down on paper. Sometimes it's better to wonder. Anyway, this set is great. All I can say is, "I am telling you, we had a time. Didn't we? Didn't we have a time?"

Summary: my obsession with my so-called life
Review: I was so mad when I looked this show up on the internet and found out it was only on for one year, nineteen episodes. I've been watching it on The-N, a channel made by Nickelodeon, and it beats DeGrassi, which I didn't know was possible. It shows what teenage angst and high school is really like. Personally, I think we need to get all parents of teens to watch it to realize things have changed and they really don't understand what we're going through.
