Summary: UNDERESTIMATED BY SOME FANS; THIS IS A VERY WOTHY FOLLOW-UP!
Review: Although Voyager is not as good -- strike that, great -- as the genius that is Deep Space Nine, it is still a very worthy follow-up.

Many folks consider season one to be pretty bad. I admit: I used to feel this way, too; until a couple months ago, when UPN aired the majority of season one shows. And while true, the first season is the weakest, it is also reminiscent of Star Trek (the first series). The storylines are bland, much like many of Star Trek's episodes. And they are somewhat boring, much like Star Trek :).

Frankly, I don't understand fans who consider Star Trek the greatest of the five series. While the episodes of the first season of Voyager are, in many ways, very similar, the fact that this series is more technologically advanced is what makes the show interesting.

Unlike the series with Kirk; which is often so boring, lackluster and laughable that it is very easy to get distracted. Don't get me wrong: I like the first series just fine. But it is definately the weakest of the five.

Paramount hasn't yet "officially" announced the complete Voyager series, but there isn't any doubt that it will happen. Especially considering the success of the TNG and DS9 sets.

And hopefully, after Voyager, they'll re-release Star Trek into individual sets and afterwards, when it ends, Enterprise!

And of course we'll need the Star Trek animated show sometime :)

Summary: Voyager on DVD is an absolute must
Review: I am a die-hard 'Trek' fan. I have seen every series out there, and I enjoy each and every one from Kirk to Archer. As a revered Trekker, I must recommend Voyager on DVD. I say, "What the heck, all Star Trek must be released on DVD as soon as possible." I cannot stress Voyager enough!!! I believe it to be one of the most unique Star Trek I have ever seen assembled. In a word, BRILLIANT!!! It's a show for all ages, even the anti-Treks out there. Whether its action, romance or just the Sci-Fi weirdness, Voyager is the one to watch. Check it out!!!

Summary: A promising start...
Review: I came to Voyager with high hopes. DS9 was really in it's stride by then but all the focus seemed to be on the new baby, Voyager. Kate Mulgrew brought a depth to the character of Janeway immediately and the first season showed signs of excellent things to come. Unfortunately this did not last as stories became convoluted and full of technobabble. Characters were under used (poor Chakotay and Kes) and stories recycled, or the reset button hit! There were some stand out stories, but by year 5 Voyager just did not cut it any more. For me, Voyager was like a cheap wine, it left a bad after taste. For a full bodied wine, I would recommend DS9 every time

Summary: Beyond Awesome
Review: I've never been a Trekkie. Sure, I'll watch Enterprise if it's on the Sci-Fi channel and there's nothing else on, but I was never a devotee. Then, I came across Voyager at 10 p.m. one evening, and for some reason I was hooked. The characters are fascinating and the actors are terrific. Jeri Ryan in particular demonstrates an amazing versatility. There's no overreliance on technological mumbo-jumbo. I see the sci-fi component as an interesting twist on an excellent drama. And there's something for everyone; there's drama, humor, romance (truly, is there anything cuter than B'Elanna and Tom?). As the characters explore conflicts among different species and grapple with the ethical rights of holograms, we are reminded of our own similar struggles to understand the world. And it's just a well-written, interesting, captivating show.

Summary: Wonderful series -- Weak ending!
Review: I really look forward to the release of Star Trek -- Voyager on DVD as Paramount has done with the earlier series. Voyager was well-written, tremendously acted and swept the viewer in using exceptional character development throughout its seven year run. I was not unhappy when Kes was replaced with Seven of Nine due to my distaste for the sappy stories that were written around Kes. However, without giving away the series' ending to those who may not have seen it, I have never been more disappointed. For seven years, we vicariously shared the characters' lives -- only to have virtually zero resolution on their adaptation at story's end. The viewers deserved better from the writers than to be left wondering if there might be a movie sequel.

Summary: The Best Period!!!!!!!
Review: Voyager, quite simply put, is the best Trek series bar none. It sets itself apart from the other series by relishing in its continual freshness. Voyager was a show that was as much about characters as it was about story. It took place in an area of space that will likely never be explored ever again. This show was the Trek equivalent of Lost in Space( except it didn't disappoint). Just watch the best series opener "Caretaker" for that.

The characters flourish due to the fact that they are stuck together and have to co-exist (what are they going to do....ask for reassignment?). All the characters have their own unique style, even Harry Kim who really had "problems" with any chick in the universe. By the end of the series, they would all have sacrificed something during their seven year journey.

The backbone of this show is Kate Mulgrew. Her acting is superb on this series. And the hard thing to believe is she wasn't even the first actress picked for the role!!! Its her acting on this series that convinces me that she is definately one of the top two captains on Star Trek. People complained that she was too much of a mother. She was put in a position that no other captain on any Trek show had been exposed to for a prolonged stretch. She did the right thing by being more friendly with the people on her ship.

And if you need eyecandy that can act, look no further than Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine. When I first saw the TV Guide sneak peek with her, I thought " Oh great. A Pam Anderson Wannabe." I was never so wrong in all my life. Yes, Seven was provacative but her character is so much more, brought to life with the exceptional acting by Jeri Ryan. Seven's journey was one with both triumphs and defeats. Her road to humanity was harder to gain than....... you know. She experienced major setbacks early on before finally making steps in the right direction.

Voyager is a must buy. Get it now!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Voyager : a fascinating story
Review: It's simple a story that you cannot stay apart once you see the first chapter. The writers really had a very nice idea in develop a story like Voyager. The situations, the characters and the way they face the moral and ethical matters, are up to a nice standard in contrast with the way that this society is falling into a more deep unconsious state of inmorality and violence.

I really enjoyed and I am constantly reviewing this web site to be ready to buy the entire collection as soon as each season is becoming available. It doesn't matter if we are watching it in Spanish or English, it really is the best of the STAR TREK Series.

As a suggestion, it will be a nice idea to include in this DVD series some features like interviews with the cast, deleted scenes or even funny situations during the recording of the chapters.

Please, there is a lot of people around the world, waiting for this release that certainly it is worthy to produce it next year (2004) at least the first season and go on until the seventh is complete.
