Summary: Voyager Rules!!!!!
Review: I live in Salt Lake City, and since Voyager was pulled off the air here a few months ago have really missed the show! I am so glad to know the series is coming out on DVD. I have been a huge Star Trek fan for years, and think Voyager is the best S.T. series yet. If you are a Star Trek fan, spend the money, and get this series...I have converted 2 TNG fans over to Voyager. Hopefully you will be next!

I think it would be great if Paremount would do a TNG/Voyager movie with the focus being on the Voyager crew.

Summary: The last Star Trek series worth buying on DVD
Review: I have all 40 DVDs of Star Trek (original series), all seven box sets of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and all seven box sets of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine...along with all 10 movies on DVD. I'm glad to see that Star Trek: Voyager is now coming out on DVD and is following the other boxed sets with a lot of extras. This is the last series worth getting on DVD. "Enterprise" is by far the worst sci-fi television show ever devised and is not worthy of the "Star Trek" name. Anyone who thinks it is "excellent" or "the best of the series" is too young, too naive, and too used to CGI effects instead of good stories and characters to understand the true nature of Star Trek. The other four series are great works and worthy of any TRUE Star Trek fan's DVD collection. Spend the money in 2004 to complete your collection and be content with that. When "Enterprise" comes out on DVD, I won't even waste my time even picking it up to look at the package design.

Summary: Voyager, just wasn't all that good.
Review: I would seriously stay away from this show if I were you. It started out promising, but the writers just didn't know how to take it to the next level, and so it stayed just a mediocre show. I have to admit, I just stopped watching around 4th season or so, it just got so boring...and I'm a complete Trek fan, I grew up on Star Trek, but Voyager just bored me to tears. I would still catch it every now and then, if I just happened to be flipping through channels and there was nothing better on, but I wouldn't make it a point to watch every single episode like I did with TNG or DS9. But anyways, that's my opinion, is that it is not worth your money.

Summary: The Anti-trek Trek
Review: This Star Trek towers above the rest! Putting in great storyline instead of boring technobabble every 5 seconds. Steer clear the super trekk geeks though, they try to bash it every chance they get. But don't worry, they are just making up for the lack of lives they have with their ignorance. This is X-Files meets Star Trek. Don't miss it!

Summary: Voyager
Review: Voyager is by far the worst Star Trek series. It started out ok but quickly went downhill. No amount of Jeri Ryan's t&a could save it. To post this I had to give it at least a 1 star rating. The show doesn't deserve that.

If you want to see the best Star Trek series, go check out DS9. If you can't get that, then go watch the original series, or TNG, or even Enterprise. But please don't waste your time on Voyager.

Trust me, you will regret it.

Summary: I wasn't a Fan until...
Review: I wasn't much of a Star Trek Fan until I watched a few of the beginning episodes of "Voyager". I liked the spin that the show gave the Maquis; instead of treating them as simple terrorists, we got a reason behind their treatment of Cardassia.

Of course, it also helped that in "Voyager" we got a strong cast of characters, including a female captain. The writing was interesting, as were the encounters with new alien races, including the Viidians (sp?) and our old favorites, the Borg.

I'm thrilled to see that Paramount finally got on the ball and decided to release this fine show on DVD. Can't wait to start collecting them.

Summary: This is what I have been waiting for!
Review: At last, Voyager on DVD! This is, to me, the best of all the Star Trek series (except for the current Enterprise, which is excellent and getting better every week). I've always loved strong women and Janeway is a great character played by a great actress.

Now, for the price... I think the price is well worth it for what you are getting. Sure, it was a short season, but it was a great season. And the extras on this set makes the price more than worth it. I never thought I would ever see Bujold clips that were filmed. The angels must have smiled when Bujold quit because I can't imagine anyone but Mulgrew playing Janeway.

All the characters were great, and the story lines were thought provoking and exciting. This is a show I can watch over and over and over.

(...).

Thank you Paramount for finally releasing the BEST Trek series!

Summary: Old enough to watch Star Trek in 1966 on Thursday nights
Review: As the author of the fantasy epic Bloodspiller I appreciate good sci-fi when I view it.First, I do agree with many fans who say that ALL the dvd box sets are way over-priced. Baylon 5 ( the best sci-fi show of them all )and the equally fantastic Stargate Sg-1 boxsets are much more reasonable in price. However, I am too, a Star Trek fanatic, though I prefer Next Generation as my personal favorite with Voyager as the runner-up. The only problem with Voyager, as was with DS-9, was that it didn't become a great show until its third year. Not until Worf showed up in the former and the lovely 7 of 9 ( my main reason for watching the show )in the latter, did these shows gain an edge. And Voyager had to confiscate the Borg to generate its edge.If they decided to be a little less harmonious, they could have kept heat going by having the two factions, Star Fleet and Maqui ( which was taken from the French underground in WWII )at each others throats a bit longer in the storyline. Even Janeway took away from Picard the " foremost expert " title regarding the Borg. I most enjoyed the Doctor, who with 7 of 9 eventually stole the show and took on the "Data yearning to be human with Picard as his mentor in human affairs " relationship. The problem with this show for me, was unlike Next Generation and eventually Ds9, they never really developed the characters in the show, which beyond the Holy Trinity, also happened in the original series. In NG every character changed over the years and became fully three dimensional people, and for this reason I am strongly and emotionally bonded to NG. Voyager ignored the potential of Chokoty, Tuvoc, Kim and others. They at least advanced Belana and Tom slightly, but in the last three seasons totally concentrated on the Doctor and 7 of 9, almost to the point of shunting aside Janeway. The show in its first two seasons was as spotty but thank goodness not almost as boring as Enterprise ( which only exists because UPN would be out of business without a Trek show and demanded one to be aired and thus it's mediocrity ) until they adopted the Borg ( Holy Xindi, Batman! )and found 7 of 9. I WILL buy the series, however -after passing over Ds9- if only for the pleasure of enjoying the Doctor's antics and to gaze at Jeri Ryan.Frankly, due to her scientific expertise, I don't think they ever would have gotten home....And why is Janeway now an admiral before they made one of Picard? At least he saved civilization dozens of times, and was instrumental in holding together with Worf the Klingon Empire, which if it had fragmented would have destabilized our corner of the galazy. All she did was get lost and luckily find her way home.

Summary: This cast of actors could carry a Star Trek Movie
Review: Kate Mulgrew's apperance in Star Trek; Nemesis was certainly a surprise to some Trek fans and might have been a hint that her crew might be taking over the movies next, not back on Voyager, but on the next new Enterprise. Could these actors really carry a movie? I would have to say yes. They know their characters, they know a lot about the Star Trek universe in general. If the screenplay was good, and Paramount gave them enough money in the budget, sure they could make a Star Trek film with this team of actors. as Spock was fond of saying, "There are always possibilties."

Summary: Voyager & Beyond
Review: Star Trek Voyager is by far the best of the Star Trek series.
It was well written, well produced and will certainly stand the test of time. All the characters were great especially the doctor, Tuvok and of course 7 of 9. I would love to see this series re-created with Voyager sent to unknown galaxy far, far away!

Although the DVDs are a bit pricey, I am looking forward to the release of the first year's episodes. I hope we don't wait a light year for the next release!
