Summary: Orgazmic
Review: This movie was par excellence--I want to sleep with Jonathon Frakes. I felt a tear on my cheek at the end; the ending gave sound advice: "remember to have fun." See this film, see it to save your marriage, see it to experience sensuality, but most of all see it with your heart.

Summary: The best of Trek

Summary: A saddened Trek Fan
Review: I have been a ST TNG fan for a long time. I was The series was mature and real, the social commentary intelligent, the characters expressive and and well developed.

What happened? I almost walked out! Did Disney get a hold of this?

Star Trek fans, you will be disappointed! It lacks all of the good things the series and "First Contact" had.

Don't bother. Let's hope the next one returns to the things that were good about trekking.

Summary: Back to the Beginning
Review: I felt that this Star Trek went back to what I remember as being Star Trek. They didn't spend all their time in space looking down at the planet. Like the original they interacted with the inhabitants. I do feel that there could have been a little more action throughout instead of at the end. They did leave you hanging on what happened with several of the crew. I hope to see more films where they try to mock what the original series did that made them so successful.

Summary: Long Episode
Review: The movie's creators tried to make this as a stand-alone episode, not tieing too much into the series so that just anyone could just pick up and watch it. Anyone who critisizes the movie for being a long episode is just telling the Paramount people that they did their job well. And I say they did.

Summary: Incredible!
Review: I loved the "Imzadi" scenes and how they softened Picard's demeanor. I don't think they used enough of the whole crew that we're used to seeing, or the battle scenes, but the special effects and stunts (costumes, etc.) were awesome!!!

Summary: This is a great movie.
Review: I liked the movie. It had good plot lines and also it was action, a lot of this, the way it was developing, I was fooled for a bit.

Summary: Pointless and Confused
Review: Let's get real. The Federation is at war with the Dominion and the crew of the Federation flag ship are out on a Love Boat cruise. I don't know what the writers were thinking on this one, but they obviously weren't thinking about what was happening in the Star Trek universe. Let's hope the next movie is more in line with what's happening on TV, or contains Q or possibly even Spock. Anything else will kill any further interest in Star Trek movies.

Summary: In the same league as ST 2 and ST 6
Review: Despite heavy criticism, I think that Insurrection was in the same bracket as the even-numbered films. It is the first odd numbered film to be as good as an even numbered one. It brought back the feel of the series, and it was great to see more of the new Enterprise (In First Contact, the ship was dark, claustrophobic and only the bridge and engineering were seen in detail). Big improvement to the engine room and bridge sets (the silver strips between the wall panels, and the new viewscreen, were nice details). I get the feeling that nobody liked the emergency manual control stick. It was an interesting piece of hardware- and at least it aknowledges the fact that the ship has a manual steering linkage. The computer generated ships were flawless, and the most convincing yet created. The briarpatch was also the best nebula ever made (similar to the one in The Wrath of Khan.) Though Insurrection was nothing wild story wise, it was true to the series. At least this kind of story hasn't been done on Trek movies before. This film also had the best locations ever. The mountains, lakes and forests make a refreshing change. A stunning achievement on the part of the producers. Micheal Piller writes good stories. At least there were far less plot holes in this film that in First Contact, and a lack of convenient co-incidences make this screenplay hold together better than First Contact's, which I thought was let down by all the plot holes riddling it.

Summary: THE WORST STAR TREK FILM SINCE STAR TREK V
Review: I had high hopes for STAR TREK INNSURECTION after seeing JOHNOTHAN FRAKES directorial debut STAR TREK FIRST CONTACT which was a classic. All the hopes I had for this film were dashed in the first five minutes that I watched it from the lame special effects to the script, This film gave me visions of STAR TREK V a film I wish I could forget so all I have to say is MR FRAKES shame on you!!! for such a letdown since your last effort.
